The beef soup was pretty bland and the meat so so. Staff was fine and prompt. I've been to monkey noodle in harvest hall in grapevine and expected similar food quality, but wasn't hitting tonight.
Love, love, love!! The food is always great and fast! I love going here before or after I catch a movie next door. Try the loaded tots!! Best I’ve ever had!
The dumplings are okay but the dan dan pork noodles where nasty ! It gave me such bad stomach pain ! It literally tasted like chorizo soup .
1st time visiting... ☹️The two staff members working the register didn't have a clue about food preparation when asked... And didn't really seem to care. ?. I even told the employees it was our first time...He didn't seemed concerned or interested to make us feel welcomed, nor offer suggestions from the menu...(Note to Mgmt: Train your staff to know your food... Hire employees who genuinely have an interest in your company... Their personal appearance was sloppy (stringy hair, nose rings, sloppy shirts) and attitude.. non-chalont.Truly a very poor reflection of your Business)I ordered a glass of wine, the guy uncorked the open bottle of Cabernet and smelled it and said, "You don't want to drink this, it's been open for a while".. He recorked and put it back on the shelf... (If it was bad. Why didn't he throw it in the trash, instead of putting it back on the shelf???)I asked him to open a new bottle.. he said that was the only one he had.We ordered soup dumplings.. not so great, dumplings were too thick and chewy, pork ball inside was too large and not enough broth inside, no savory flavor.... Very disappointed. The spicy pork wonton with cilantro was very good and preferred those over the soup dumplings. No toilet paper in the restroom..Don't recommend this location.
I am super disappointed. After an hour of trying to figure out what I wanted to eat. I decided to try this place. I order one Dan Dan noodle with level 2 spice level for my girlfriend and a brisket fried rice with no spice for me. When I got home and tried my rice it was soooo spicy that could not eat it. Very sad and did not feel like going out again to figure out what to eat again.
I ordered the spicy beef noodles. The soup was bland. The noodles are either old, overcooked, or both. I've had better packaged noodles cooked in the microwave. The beef chunks were edible I suppose. The ac inside isn't set properly. Overall it was a poor experience and I don't plan on coming back.
The hot beef noodles, were served with the beef on top and the noodles on the bottom. I must say the best part of the dish for me were the noodles and the broth , the noodles are cooked to perfection they bounced off the tongue the broth taste of fresh herbs and spice blended to together I could taste each ingredients which I found delightful, but the beef was to chewy.
Wife and I had an amazing experience. Going out with our very young daughter isn't always easy and I feel like I've rarely had a place that makes it seem so welcoming. The food remains great and I always over order. Maybe a half order of soup dumplings? We come infrequently but based on the experience today we will include it in our more frequent places to dine.
Those wontons in chili sauce were delicious last night. I can’t stop thinking about them today.
The soup dumplings had holes in them and no soup there wasn’t even soup at the bottom of the bowl at all. I thought maybe a couple had burst open or leaked out but nope just a ball of meat inside dough

Love the craft soda also could did a good job on the food really nice clean chill atmosphere
Absolutely love Monkey King. They are nice enough to find a way to make Taiwanese chicken nuggets for our picky teen. Supplies were low due to weather, and he took our order and made her some nuggets. It was worth the wait to see how happy it made her on Monday night. Entire family, including picky eaters loves their food.
Roy's lemonade, free jenga to play while you're there, indoor seating; it's just about everything you can ask for. A great option when you are going to see a movie next door and want a bite to eat. I like the art here, the little dumplings are so cute. This location does taste different than the deep ellum location. The orange chicken was amazing! I would get that again. The chicken noodle soup had barely any soup. It was a good amount of chicken and noodles and barely any broth. The flavor was lacking as well; even with the chili oil. I would come back and try something new.
Super upset quarantine kept me away from this place for so long! Best dumplings I have ever had! And you have to try the scallion pancakes! This'll be my new go-to noodles!!!
I usually stay with my favorite dumplings, but decided to try the other signature dishes. We had Beef Noodles and Chicken Stir Fry. Great choices. We could tell the noodles were freshly made and the meat was cooked and spiced perfectly. The quality is consistent at different locations. The service was attentive and courteous. Very convenient location as well.
