Dear diary, I don’t think words are enough to describe just how delicious this was :) This was real Japanese ramen, rich and flavorful. The noodles were something else entirely, not just regular pasta. They truly delivered on what the menu promised, and it even exceeded my expectations. Thank you, guys, for being so delicious :)))

A little sketchy neighborhood. It took 30min to get our food. The food was great and we'd love to go back and dine in next time. We added vegetables to our ramen and the portion was very generous which I appreciate as a mother.

The best Japanese homemade food in Dallas in an unaquainted neighborhood. I always crave for their tonkotsu and katsu curry and make a 30 minutes drive to Moriya to fulfill my craving. They have best tonkotsu ramen. The owner is very sweet and kind.

Overall, decent experience from the 2 dishes we got. Food court dinning area. Hard to hear the staff shout your food number. Maybe a microphone or screen can help out the food court. Busy parking area.
8.5/10 - The Tonkotsu Ramen was good. The broth was creamy and a bit on the salty side, probably one of the top Tonkotsu broths I’ve tried! Noodles were good and slightly chewy. Pork slices were a bit too fatty for my liking. The boiled eggs were a bit over cooked. Came with spinach which was good with it. Portion was good for $13. I recommend trying the ramen.
4.5/10 - The Omurice Katsu Curry was okay, not too seasoned. The fried katsu was good. The egg poured over the rice wasn’t mixed consistently. The curry sauce oddly reminds me of the taste of tomato pasta sauce mixed with curry sauce, not my preference. Portion was bigger for $17. If this recipe stays the same, then I wouldn’t recommend.

This is a small restaurant at a food court inside of Shin Chon grocery store. Reasonable prices for Japanese food with large portions. Had the Katsudon which was very filling. Salmon-mayo balls were also delicious.

Tbh, just average, chasu meats are not grilled, too much cabbage, small noodle portion, clean broth, not much msg.
Don't miss out on this place, it is literally the beat ramen I've had out of Dallas, Texas. Overall, the food is great, with great customer service, generous portions, and beautifully presented as well.

Great ramen spot in Dallas - I've been to a few other local Japanese-owned and operated restaurants, but Moriya Shokudo takes the lead. The Jiro-style ramen was delicious with the tasty broth, thick futo-men noodles, and the bean sprouts piled high. Can't wait to be back to try the other ramen and curry dishes on the menu!
I had heard about Moriya Shokudo's Jiro-style ramen from someone at work, and it was really delicious! I didn't expect to be able to eat authentic Jiro-style food in Dallas, so I'm very happy. This is a restaurant that can be recommended even to Japanese people!

Surprising little gem tucked in a small Korean market. Food is great, portion is excellent. Will come back again.
