Upscale setting with well priced food. The Coctel de Camarons off the ceviche menu is fantastic. Pictured below as the presentation is gorgeous. The iced tea is yummy and fresh and goes great with an afternoon on the patio. We went with the tempura fish tacos and the grilled gulf shrimp tacosSitting outside is amazing. The patio and set up feel like you are in a different time and place. Relaxed and casual atmosphere with shade and even a stage for entertainment (although I don’t know if they utilize it)Cocktail menu is basic offerings but the One margarita looks like a great choice. Always add a floater of gran Marnier for a little extra punch.Overall location is fantastic and close to other great restaurants and little shopping center in walnut hill. Make a day of the area.

Second visit today because I was so blown away by my first visit, that I decided for my birthday I would come back. The first visit was an excellent experience. Today.. I was so disappointed. We sat at the bar this time. The drinks were subpar in comparison, weak, water down. The bartender was not attentive at all. Our chips and drinks ran out and I stared ( see pics) of all the staff that had time to stand around but not service. I don’t normally say anything but I was so disappointed. The bartender that took care of us was nice, peppy just not present at all. No one was ever rude by any means but the service sucked. Literally last time I came here it was amazing, they even boxed my leftovers and before I asked… this time the bartender kind of threw the box out in front of us… and said here.. It was an extremely different experience, so maybe this is just a one off. The red fish tacos were excellent the food is great. I would suggest you not sit at the bar.

Food was meh, definitely not worth the price. We had the queso, ceviche, brisket and fish tacos. We left around 9:00 after the staff started stacking chairs and cut off music. Our first table the light was flickering and the table was shaky, moved to another table. The furniture felt like very cheap patio tables. Maybe the boozy drinks play in the high ratings, but I certainly don’t understand what people see in this place.

While on my way to the barbershop, I noticed this place off the highway. Intrigued, I promptly googled and checked its location, scrolling through pictures. I decided to stop by on my way back, and I'm thrilled with the food, service, and atmosphere. I had to share this positive experience in a review—modern habits, you know. Usually, trying something new disappoints me, but not today! The food was truly worth the money, and I thoroughly enjoyed my sangria.Kid-friendliness: Options for kids

FOOD INSTAGRAM: @NORTHTX.GEMZ••••? WHAT THEY’RE KNOWN FOR: not sure, I just always saw it passing by on the highway near the galleria/north Dallas and my boyfriend recommended it after trying it with his friend!? THE VIBE: surprisingly very classy inside. I would recommend this as a good first date/date night place. Recommend going when there’s good weather because the patio outside seating is very beautiful.?WHAT WE ORDERED:• Chicken Al Pastor Tacos• Carolina Chicken Adobo? PRICE: ~$45? WOULD I COME BACK? Yes.••••Overall Rating: 8.5/10- Another good Mexican restaurant to add to your list! Let’s start off with the chips and salsa. It was absolutely fire. Every thing is handmade and every thing has a great Smokey flavor. When chips and salsa are homemade and good you know the Mexican food is gonna be good.- The chicken Al pastor tacos were SO good and actually pretty spicy! I definitely finished off my plate it was so good. The green rice and cabbage were chefs kiss.- Okay, so my mom’s Carolina adobo had amazing flavor from the chicken to the vegetables. HOWEVER, the chicken was pretty dry… and the vegetables were extremely oily. Like I said the flavors were great but I don’t think a great effort was put into these dishes. I would recommend trying something else.- Flavor profile here is immaculate. The venue is beautiful and large. The service was okay, our server was kind of passive aggressive and not really welcoming but I assume he just wanted to go home lol.

I was taken completely by surprise when I shared a lunch here with good friends. I checked out this place online and thought, "Oh, another ho hum TexMex place." Boy, was I wrong!! The ambiance is exceptional, as is the food and service. The chips and salsa were over the top, as was the guacamole. I enjoyed the chicken Mole enchiladas, and I have never tasted Mole like theirs. We also tried both deserts, the flan and their tres leches cake, and both were phenomenal!! Definitely check this place out!!
