Muchacho in Preston Center strikes the right balance between refined and relaxed. The décor feels thoughtfully curated—warm leather, dark wood, and just enough rustic detail to make it inviting without being overdone. My favorite spot is the balcony, which adds an airy, open feel to the experience.
The menu has plenty of heavy-hitters, but I keep coming back to something simple: the house salad with butter lettuce and grilled shrimp. It’s clean, fresh, and surprisingly memorable—the kind of dish that shows off the kitchen’s restraint as much as its skill.

Nice upscale Mexican restaurant with fantastic service.
The queso Muchacho with brisket is one of the best cheese dips I’ve had.
The combo # Juan is a great way to sample many items because it includes a beef taco, cheese enchilada, chicken taco, guacamole, along with beans and rice.
Great place but if you sit at the bar bring a megaphone cuz it's quite loud 📢
Muchaco Catering made our Fathers Day and Birthday gathering so easy. Jill and Deborah were responsive, helpful and timely with food selections and delivery!
We had the combo fajitas, double rice, queso with smoked brisket and of course their wonderful margaritas!!
Thank you for making everything so special!
Made our first visit to this restaurant from Plano this past Thursday evening . It’s a smaller restaurant than we expected but seemed charming enough with the western style they were going for. But the noise level was deafening. Very hard to hear each other or the waitress. My husband ordered a ribeye steak dinner. Waitress came back to tells us they were out of ribeye . What!!! My chicken enchiladas had white and dark meat in it. Every other Mexican restaurant have only had white meat . Not dark. That changes the flavor. Manager was nice to give us a free dessert because they were out of the ribeye . It’s not a place we will go back to.
The hosts are not warm or welcoming and need to improve their customer service skills. I was shocked at how rude they were.
The steak tacos were great, tasty avocado and pickled vegetables, salsa that came with tacos was good, didn't care about the salsas with the chips. Bartenders were like not having their best night I guess, will just drop things like they were too busy or mad, didn't even asked if food was ok, seem like they were more in a hurry to go. The young hostess was more pleasant saying bye and thank you for coming. Still tipped 20 %

Amazing! The food was incredible and Rhonda was great. She greeted us with a smile and had our table ready the moment we checked in. Had great recommendations. Tres Leches was our fav. Definitely will be back to visit the food and Rhonda!!

The place has a cool atmosphere and a really nice patio but it got super loud inside; not sure if it was all of the wood in the decor or just the crowd that night. Food is decent and predictable but I’ve had better. The Como La Flor margarita was a sweet margarita if that’s your vibe.
The food was amazing and came surprisingly quick. The atmosphere is really cool and was very enjoyable for our date night. Would definitely recommend any of the fajitas.
