My Family’s Pizza Lakewood serves high quality pizza with fresh ingredients, baked to the right amount of crispiness. My family ordered pick up from this location. The pizzas tasted delicious and the staff acted friendly. The restaurant could use some much needed care, however. From the outside, the restaurant appears underwhelming. Did you know that after a decade of travel, and a confirmation pizza, that my favorite pizza place in the country still hasn't changed? Introducing My Family's Pizza...I started eating pizza daily when this company placed a new location directly in front of my old townhouse. Originally called Pizza by Marco, this really is a genuine family business, and the pizza reflects decades of honing the art form.The best way to describe the pizza is as a mix between the sometimes over-priced Neapolitan style, with a touch of NY slice, priced like Little Caesar's. It's a must have when in Dallas!This particular location doesn't have the best environment because it's a takeout spot, but if you just want the pizza, this is the spot. If you're looking to sit down and be social while you eat, try one of the other locations.The staff is always friendly, and if you happen to run into the owner, he's a blast. I ate pizza here so much that he invited me to make my own pizza, trained me in cheese selections, and offered the classic lunch special (get the slices with the Greek salad) anytime for me. All things that can only happen when you support local businesses.5 stars, perfect 10, 7 Michelin tires ( ?). Get there, eat now.

The place stinks. The customer service was poor. Guy was not friendly and tried to overcharge me for a 10in pizza. But he did pay me the difference after I asked. Overall not a big fan. Won't be back.

Was not worth the price I paid. I'd rather order from Fratellis, where you get a bigger better pizza for less money!!

This place epitomizes incompetence and zero customer service. Ordered delivery. First time sent out the wrong order. Sent out redelivery sent out the wrong order. Waste of an evening and wound up going to a nearby burger joint.
Ok, fool me twice, shame on me. I ordered online for pickup (they still don't deliver), and once again ordered a veggie pizza with the soy sausage, which is still listed on the menu. Fifteen minutes later as I was leaving to go pick up my order I get a call from MFP saying they don't have soy sausage, and haven't even started my pizza. I said fine, make it, but asked who the manager was so I could chat again about getting their online ordering menu squared away. It's a guy named Matthew, who is also one of the owners, who works next door at Pour House. And he should be fired, except he's an owner. I got there and asked him why they still show soy sausage on their online menu, and his answer was basically, "I don't know why it's there, but it's not my fault, and it's a computer error, there's nothing I can do about it. So just pretend it's not there next time. And it's not my fault." So this has been going on for months now, and Matthew (the owner) doesn't care enough about his customers or his employees to correct a menu flaw that causes everybody trouble. So like I said, he needs to be fired, except he owns the joint. On the positive side, his counter woman, Kat, was quite nice, and the pizza was good.

They have VEGAN pizza!!! With VEGAN cheese!!!It's really really good!!! Love being able to get pizza take out with a cheese on it. Really nice staff too!

Their gluten free pizza is FANTASTIC. My husband has celiac and it's seriously so good. Thin crust but good and crispy, not soggy. Their delivery is always quite prompt and the prices are comparable to other small-business pizzerias. The only reason I docked a star is that their whole wheat crust (at a time where I ordered pizza without my gluten-intolerant spouse) is really quite bad. It's floppy and even soggy, tastes kinda undercooked. I was expecting a good chewy wheaty crust. I couldn't even finish the pizza. Apart from that though, it's great!

I almost missed out on some of the best pizza I have eaten lately simply because I overlooked a sign. The notice on the front door at 1915 Skillman Street read to place or pick up an order from My Family's Pizza, go next door to the Pour House. If not for my eagle-eyed cohort, we might have eaten somewhere else. Once inside the cool environs of the Pour House, owned by the same folks that own the pizza joint next doors, we took a seat at the bar and ordered our pie. In no time at all, the bartender (pizzatender?) served us a piping hot pan of delicious pizza. I had a coupon which brought me to the pizza place, but my friend and I dined in at the bar. My buddy commented on how good his cold tap beer tasted on such a hot day. The bartender was very personable and thoughtful. The pizza was great, a thin crust with a yeasty flavor that I really enjoyed. I recommend My Family's Pizza on Skillman but be sure to go to the Pour House next doors if you plan on picking up or dining in before 5PM.
