Neighborhood Services Bar Room & Broiler

Went to Lovers Lane tonight. Food and service was good (not great). Ordered a nice red wine and bottle came out at probably 45 to 50 degrees COLD. The check came and seemed little high. I reviewed and they had charged me for THREE different appetizers I did not order. After apology my manager, I left and valet had changed several different settings on my car. Never back to Neighborhood Services again.

Waited 25 minutes past my reservation time. They were out of the daily special, they were out of the chicken parmigiana and they were out of one of the fish specials. I had the scallops, they were small and had an off putting taste. The wine list is pathetic and extremely overpriced.

The service was wonderful but after many times visiting I must say it was so disappointing. The drinks were watery, the meatballs SUPER raw, the wine was served at almost freezing temperature, the Friday special was noodles mixed with sour tasteless “short rib” shredded meat, the peach fried pie was microwaved hot and made it totally rubbery and the final insult was $8 for a capuchino. After many years of being good customers at all locations, I do not think we will return.

An absolute disaster last night. Let me say first that our waiter did a great job under horrendous context. He brought out our drinks and wine on time and fine. We ordered our meal and salads came out fine then we waited 1 hour and 10 min for entrees. My wife’s filet was ordered med/rare and it came out charcoal black grizzle. We went it back and 20 min later a second appeared, delivered by a manager apologizing. This was well done but not to the extent of the first one. She said they would comp the filet and give us desert. I was not interested in anything free just wanted a nice dinner with my family. The check came and they charged us for 2 cocktails for my wife, which she only had 1. It was pointed out and the waiter took it back and corrected it, then after presenting us with the new bill he noticed they still charged us for the filet so the bill went back again. Things were clearly out of control. I’ll pass on NServices!

Always a pleasure to take the whole family, kids included. Unabtrusive service, well done cocktails, nice wine selection, & excellent food make this a place to come back to time and again.

We ate a lot of places in Dallas, Neighborhood Services in Dallas is probably the best. Great food, friendly staff. If you go ask for Gerry, she’s knowledgeable and an outstanding waitress. You definitely won’t be disappointed.

Had dinner (and I am using the term loosely) at the Neighborhood Services restaurant on Oak Lawn. Have eaten in the past at the Lovers Lane location so had high expectations which were quickly ground down into the dirt. First, temperature in the restaurant was freezing. Glad we brought jackets. Noise level (music) was almost painful. Could not talk to companion across the table. Service terrible. Waiter forgot our appetizer order completely and was less than apologetic for this. Main meal came. Companion's shrimp fettuccini was ok but small portion for $33 price (five small shrimp). I ordered fish and chips. Fish barely warm and fries were stone cold and soggy. Unable to eat. Have had this dish at the Lovers Lane location and loved it. Basically ended up with no dinner. Couldn't even get anyones attention to deal with this until my companion had eaten three quarters of their meal. No point in waiting for another attempt at reordering a meal. In a situation like this we should have been comped the entire meal. They still charged for one meal. (and I am not "that" person who tries to get out of paying for a meal). Incredibly poor service, terrible food, and uncomfortable environment. Will not be returning.

Calendar invite was given for this location for a group dinner. Organizer went to another location of same restaurant. Work colleague and I had ubered here and we were hungry so we just sat at bar for cocktails and wound up eating. Wow!! The food was awesome and the two women working the bar were friendly and very helpful. If you eat here, at bar or at tables you have to have the nachos. Best I have ever had!! When I come to Dallas I typically do not eat seafood, but this time I had the scallops and was not disappointed.

Service was good, food was good, felt a little rushed on timing but other than that, Good experience. Would probably go again but not for a big outing with more than 4 people

Fun atmosphere, great food and drinks. Very very loud so plan to only be able to hear who you are sitting very close to. Valet parking...but a huge pothole when you pull in so be careful!

Came here during a business trip. Must haves: steak frites and the meatballs. Has to be some of the best meatballs I've had. Steak was cooked perfectly. Wonderful drink selections and friendly staff. Desserts could be a little better. Overall satisfying meal with hearty portions.

What a great dinner! The porterhouse special was perfect! It was crusty and cooked to a perfect medium rare. Very tasty. The bourbon selection was great along with the service.

everyone at our table was quite pleased. quick, helpful, and friendly service. this place has a great atmosphere. mood here reminds me of colorado springs area.

Bring back the pork chop for five stars!
