Summersnuggles

Not sure where to start. Waiting for 1 hour and twenty minutes with no apology and no one concerned for the wait. No experienced personnel coming by to explain a situation for the delay. One of my sons kept asking and they kept saying oh we are waiting for a table to finish desert. We were a table of seven. There were no spots at the bar. Finally they put us by the kitchen. The noise level with the screaming was ridiculous.all you kept hearing is yes chef and this chef. Banging of plates. Our waiter was very nice and good . Again no apologies for the incredible wait. As far as food goes it was fair at best some steaks were undercooked the lobster came cold and then they forgot the butter for it. The sushi was mixed some very good some not at all. We tried a couple of different waygu steak by the oz and certainly nothing over the top. The person who helped serve the vegetables was hysterical serving actually one piece of broccoli and just put the corn and fries in the middle of the table. It was an atrocious bit of service. I can’t understand how this could be considered such a good restaurant unless the managers were sick as the incompetence of the leadership just wasn’t there. I surely would never go back. Especially with the high prices. So many other top restaurants to try.

Great steak, but everything else is not good. Salad with too much dressing. The place has too many chairs and tables. The atmosphere and decor is not nice.

Fantastic food and service. The steaks are cooked perfectly. Bonus points for the complimentary caviar station. I've never seen this in a steakhouse an it was a very nice touch.

I ordered the Prime bone in Filet 16 oz medium rare. They served it to me medium well. They made a new one for me and it was blue rare/cold.

I don’t even know how to say this. I have really thought about this review Nick and Sam’s used to be one of my go to’s favorite food drinks you name it but now it is very much fallen short the food was not even worth talking about service was OK. Drinks were not they’ve changed their menu I guess or they’ve changed chefs but something went wrong.

Been to Nick & Sam's many times, every time it's been a first class experience. Came again for this Thanksgiving and the food was exceptional (Turkey special was great , maybe just a tad over salted however really good, however absolutely delicious). Also had a Strip and it was seasoned to perfection and it was all wonderful. The service was great , the atmosphere was cheerful, definitely will be back; everytime i make it to Dallas it's a must. Thank You Nick and Sam's for doing what You do.

I would start by saying nothing went wrong! Short wait upon entry, got seated, well detailed server proposing a long list of things and options which I couldn’t remember past the second thing, service was good, poured the wine as needed etc.. food came in timely, they did a decent job on service.

Now here is my problem with it! The prices are exorbitant, and it a matter of asking whether the double or triple money you would put in is worth it! One could argue , if you find it too expensive, why did you go?? Well the menu isn’t posted anywhere and the prices of steaks and wines are to be discovered on site.

Gone to a few steakhouses in north Dallas recently as well and I have to admit that service was equivalent, prices were far more reasonable especially in the wines “comparing exact same bottle”

N&S atmosphere is also a bit on the loud site because people are crammed in and a table for 4 is too small to accommodate all the food and for you to be seated comfortable and have some decent space. We are people on the smaller medium frames and had to reorganize the table every time a dish came around and make sure we don’t knock off the expensive bottle of wine..

The crowd is obviously one with loads of money who can afford the place but not the classy type. Finally if you have a parking lot in front of the restaurant, why do you need valet to park the car for you and make people pay. I get it that if you have to drive the car around to park it makes sense to offer the service but for a 50yd walk it’s just another way to pay for unneeded service.

Finally, I had never had an additional LBW tax around here, God knows where that came from, seems like a liquor and beverage tax but never saw another restaurant pass this on to customers. May be I’m wrong but never seen it before.

In short:
- Great food
- Great service
- Average atmosphere
- Average crowd type
- Prices (NOT value for money)
- Lack of space comfort
- Crammed hence loud

Don’t go here if you are African american. You will not receive the same level of service as other people. It is truly sad.
