Placed an online order and was quoted up to 30 minutes. When I got there I was told my order still needed another 20 minutes. Wish I knew it would take 50 minutes for this chicken otherwise I wouldn’t have wasted my time and gas driving over there

Wings were great!! Fresh, nicely battered, and sauced. Yangyum sauce was alright, felt like it could’ve been bolder. But they brought it back with the buffalo and ESPECIALLY the honey garlic. Cozy spot with a highly attentive welcoming staff. Recommend 100%.

The chicken here is super crunchy and juicy. Kirin beer on draft is a great value.

I expected better from a place calling itself “No.1”. Food was mediocre at the best. Fries were burnt in places and the chicken wasn’t good.

I’m not sure if it’s like this at all locations but I wouldn’t recommend going here if you want actual good fried chicken.

To clarify, this visit was about a month ago but coming back around the area, it reminded me just how sad I was after leaving here and that I should voice this.
Things could have changed since then and I hope it has.

If you’re craving Korean fried chicken, No. 1 Plus Chicken is hands-down one of the best spots in DFW — and trust me, it lives up to the hype! Their menu is a masterpiece of crisp, juicy, flavorful goodness. Every piece of chicken is fried fresh daily in 100% vegetable oil, giving it that perfect crunch without feeling greasy.

What really sets them apart is their signature marinade — they go the extra mile by trimming off excess fat and skin, then soaking the chicken in a special blend of herbs and spices until the flavor is just right. It’s a subtle art, and they absolutely nail it.

But it’s not just about chicken. Their Korean bar food is a revelation. Whether you pair it with an ice-cold beer or some flavored soju, the experience feels so authentic and well thought-out.

The restaurant has a warm, welcoming vibe, too. The Dallas location (2240 Royal Lane) is cozy and great for groups, and they’ve also expanded to Carrollton — so more people can get in on the goodness. The team clearly cares: their new location announcement is full of genuine excitement and gratitude toward their community.

And the food quality? Absolutely top-tier. According to reporting, they use fresh chicken, marinate it for a full 48 hours, and double-fry it to achieve that ideal crispy-on-the-outside, juicy-on-the-inside texture. Their wings come with house-made sauces or dry rubs, and the platter gives you a taste of their most popular flavors — a perfect way to sample what they do best.

One standout favorite is their green onion chicken — bite-sized nuggets topped with shredded green onions and a special green onion sauce. It’s sweet, savory, and delightfully unique. And don’t skip the sides: their corn & cheese is a fan favorite (and yes, they torch the cheese table-side for a fun, delicious show).

Customer service is spot-on, too. Friendly staff, smooth ordering (dine-in or takeout), and a feel that you’re appreciated when you walk in. Their Richardson location has also seen generous portion sizes without a hike in price.

Bottom line? No. 1 Plus Chicken is a gem. Whether you’re a die-hard fried chicken lover or just someone looking to try something new and exciting in the Dallas-area food scene, this place delivers on flavor, quality, and atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Was very disappointing after all the hype. Got the platter and most of the pieces were just skin and bones. The other parts were dry. Flavor was good. Price of the chicken is the same as other places but the quality falls behind by far. We also got Kimchi fries and that was not worth it either. The basket is small and the fries were burnt + not warm. The service was alright, friendly enough but didn’t come to refill water or anything even though the place wasn’t busy.

decent enough. enjoyed the food, but not enough to come back. price doesn’t match the quality of food imo. staff was super friendly, but space is a little run down on the inside.
