Booked a table for a special life event. Told after 1.25 hrs we would need to leave. Later time we could have another table to listen to the band (which is why we went to Tabu vs Nonna) then told to move and finally we left. Super disappointing will NEVER go back.

1 star because we had a $200 Mastercard gift card we’d received for Christmas. Intended to use for a portion of this bill. After struggling to run the card, they told us that they were only able to charge a small portion of the card’s value. We paid the remaining balance and left. When I logged into the card site this morning to see what the problem was, the card is spent. Balance is $1.16. They credited our bill with $115 from the gift card after charging $198.84 to it.

Nonna has some of the best food in Dallas. Their chef is outstanding. The chef nails the classics, while also bring a rustic, yet modern, innovative approach to a beautifully executed menu. The wine selection is strong, but the food is the best Italian in Dallas. Cannot speak highly enough about the GM, David.

WOW- we decided to come here on a whim for a double date, and will definitely be returning! The food was great, but Brett our waiter was fantastic. We asked him for guidance ordering and he gave incredible recommendations! He was so kind and helpful, we’ll definitely request him when we come back.

The food at Nona was excellent, and the ambiance on the Taboo side of the restaurant was lovely. Unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired.
When we arrived, the restaurant was fairly empty, so I’m not sure why it took so long for our server to even introduce herself. In fact, she never actually told us her name. I only know it might be Hadeel because I overheard others call her that. About 20 minutes passed before we got our drinks, which were actually brought by the busboy. He was friendly and tried to help when I flagged him down to order appetizers, but it wasn’t until he explained he wasn’t our server that I realized I’d been waiting on the wrong person.
Once Hadeel did appear, she took our order in an unusual way. She’d wait until we finished each dish before taking the order for the next course. At one point, she dropped off the dessert menu before we’d even ordered our entrees, then seemed annoyed when we tried to order mains. Later, while waiting for dessert, olives randomly arrived at our table, which was confusing since we were expecting something sweet.
To top it off, she mentioned the next reservation was waiting, as if we were the ones holding things up, when her pacing caused the delay in the first place.
Great food, nice vibe, but the service experience was frustrating and disorganized.

Food is good. But I personally think it’s a bit overpriced. To be fair I am visiting out of town so it could be normal Dallas price.

Go for the food, but don't look too closely at the dining room. You have to enter at Tabu, walk through a kitchen door to get to the Nonna restaurant. Bathroom had a paper towel rack, soap dispenser was empty, and they store toilet paper in the restroom where you can see it. Light switches were dirty; not what you want from an expensive restaurant. Did I mention the food is Excellent?
Looking forward to going back and hopefully see the bathrooms improved.

Had such a great night here. The staff was friendly, the cocktails were fun, and the food was packed with flavor. I tried the signature pasta and it was incredible. Perfect spot for date night or a night out with friends.

The reservation was for the Tabu main room but we never received a notification that an event was booked in that room. Luckily we were seated quickly in the Nonna main room. Food And service were amazing, especially the octopus which was so tender. We loved the Farmer's market salad and the butternut squash ravioli. The fried chicken was tasty but compared to the other dishes wasn't as notable. The deaserts were the pumpkin cake (like a pumpkin pie but better) and the citrus cake (grapefruit olive oil cake). Both desserts were so good. The only complaint I have is that the tables were a little too close but it can't be helped in the space.

How the mighty have fallen. My favorite Italian restaurant for at least the last 10 years has bitten the dust.
Let’s overlook that the front door has changed, and if you go in the old front door, it’s a big issue. You have to squeeze past the bar, go thru a hallway stacked w glasses, then fine the hostess stand at the new place next door. The hostess then goes back to where you came in to see if your table is ready, then follows the same path you just did, back to the hostess stand next door, and informs you that you table is ready. Let’s overlook all that.
I ordered the new and very weird Chicory salad. The macadamia nut dressing was like something your 5 year old would make and serve to you, the parent, and you have to smile and say “yum!” It’s creamy, nutty, and clashes immeasurably with the bitter greens. Just to make sure it’s awful, it’s covered with cheese. Think I’m exaggerating? Order it and find out.
Then before I’m done, I notice the waiter standing over me and watching me finish the last bites. I look at him slowly as if to say “do I need to hurry up for you?!” He didn’t get the hint, so I dutifully finished the nasty salad to be on his schedule. Serving 101 reads: Don’t stand over your guests and encourage them to hurry up.
Finally, the tire, or in this case, a pork chop. It was so over cooked I had to ask for a steak knife. Had the consistency of a flat tire and the flavor to match. Overcooking pork bc of some fear of a pink center is ridiculous. Or maybe the chefs are clueless. Who knows. But only a beginner or someone with no cooking skills would serve a tough overdone pork chop like that.
I have a feeling the chef/owner has had enough of this business. Resting on your laurels is common for a formerly well received restaurant, but this goes beyond that. It’s more like Mr Barsotti has Pee Wee Herman syndrome, where success has ruined him and he’s looking for an exit.
I have to find a new Italian restaurant.

Not a great experience! Okish dishes - burrata tastes like the one at wlamart , pasta has too much egg - nothing special. Not recommended.

We loved our dinner at Nonna. The food tasted fresh and full of real Italian comfort, and every course felt carefully made. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxing, perfect for a quiet evening. Service was kind and attentive without being pushy. A really delicious experience from start to finish.
