It's been years since hubby and i went to this location. We wanted to see how things have changed in the area; apparently the food and everything else did. We waited to b seated (per the sign)but once finally acknowledged was told we could sit anywhere. It smelled oddly weird in there like mold or an old house that hadn't been aired out in years. I ordered the blue plate chicken fried steak-menu said it was enormous. It was not. Looked like a kids portion. It was tough and very chewy. Hubby had catfish plate. His was really good. I wrapped my food to give to my dog. He isn't too picky and have a better set of teeth than I do. Saving grace was the waiter. He was nice and polite. He's only been there 7 mos. My only suggestion for him is to always provide extra napkins because the ones u get with your utensils will never be enough and when people order salads let them know what dressings are available. Not everyone likes ranch. We'll never come back. The area is thriving though. Will try restaurants in the bishop arts district or trinity River groves. Next up will be mommas and daughters.

Super busy all the time because of the amazing food and service. Plenty of parking and fantastic staff. Very family oriented and perfect for meet ups. Good is very tasty and worth the money. 10/10 would eat there again.

We came here for our first time today and it was so good. Slimy was our waitress and so attentive and sweet. Got the country breakfast and a piece of pie. Biscuits are so good and service was awesome. We will definitely be back.
Fantastic service by Liz and De-frickin-licious food!! One of my Best foodie friends and I came to get a bite and were not disappointed!! We got a the awesome hand battered onion rings to start, shared a mushroom burger and yummy tots and, by recommendation of the very kind Lisa, we shared a piece of coconut cream pie. Boy was that a creamy and perfectly flavored coconut pie! Liz and Lisa were so helpful, patient and very cool. Def recommend this whole place!

If you're looking for a traditional café that offers fantastic food, this one is ideal! I recently visited for the first time with my parents, and the portion sizes are notably generous for what you pay. The quality of the food, however, was excellent and very tasty. I highly suggest trying their breakfast selections, as I haven't had the chance to sample anything else yet.

I Have been going to Norma’s for over 25 years and the Service has been going downhill. Tonight I went and they only had 2 waiters and 2 managers. The managers did nothing to assist the waiters. Jessie was so kind but worn out. They were out of Meat Loaf, Blue cheese dressing. This was just 2 items we were not able to receive. I notice the only time of day the restaurant is busy is for Breakfast on the weekends.

Are you hungry? Then stop scrolling. There’s a reason Norma’s Cafe has been open since 1956. We just moved to Dallas and this was our first time coming here. The food was amazingly delicious and the service was exceptional. If you’re from the NE, this location gives off a diner vibe in all the good ways. We will be coming back.
Also, thank you Regina for your hospitality and great service!

My family and I went to the Oak Cliff restaurant and it was first time coming to Norma's Cafe. It was one of the best food we ever tried. Jesse was our waiter and was so attentive to us. We really recommend this place. The food was served fast and really good. The hostess was sweet as well .
Went with a few gal pals for brunch. Got the ol number 7 and a sweet . So yummy. Emily was awesome. Mega business. She was managing the cashier, greeting and seating people, and was our server. Great food great service. Thanks Emily !!
