Norma's Cafe offers a casual dining experience with a variety of classic comfort foods. The restaurant features decor with Texas flag cushions on the booth tables and old pictures and memorabilia of Dallas, creating a nostalgic and nice retro look. The chicken fried steak platter, which comes with three sides, cornbread, and rolls, is a popular choice. The meat is perfectly prepared, battered just right, and served with creamy, smooth gravy. The sides, including corn and green beans, are well-liked, with many enjoying the homemade bread and biscuits. The chicken fried chicken, breakfast entrees like the omelet, and homemade pies are also highly recommended. Customers often praise the friendly staff and prompt service, with a superb team that is super efficient. The food is always good with generous, nice size portions served hot. The lively atmosphere is enhanced by 60s music playing in the background, making the overall experience fun, friendly, and filling. The restaurant is a favorite spot for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and many find it to be a Dallas staple and a must-visit place for comfort food lovers looking for hearty food in a pleasant dinner setting.
