2 days in a row l ordered online amd l had to wait over 30 minutes.. .. l was late to work today from my lunch break, the Waitress kept taking people in front of me instead being concerned about my order.. .. already paid customers deserve to be looked at as well, especially if you ordered in advance. 30 minutes is crazy and as she gave me the bag she kinda shoved it in my hand like she was irritated.. .. l want be coming back. I tried a 2nd time and the customer service is no good. The food was great by the way.. ..

Best MEATLOAF!!!! and it’s not covered in ketchup… it’s covered in a heavenly tomatoey sauce… it’s legit. I love Norma’s!! I’m sorry I didn’t take any photos of the deliciousness, I forgot. Just know that it’s beautiful and should win awards. Yum!!! Also, the price is right and you get an enormous amount of food!!

The food has large portions but the chicken and dressing was more chicken than anything else. The waitress came by twice to check on us and ask if everything was good. Of course we had just gotten our appetizers and the second time she stopped at our table, we had just gotten our food. So when it was time to get our bill I told her that I didn’t eat any of the chicken and dressing because it was mostly chicken. She told me that she asked twice if everything was okay and I should have spoken up then. I told her the above information and said I would pay for it but I couldn’t tell her that it was okay before I had gotten a chance to taste it. The manager did take it off our bill and gave us a veterans discount. My husband had ordered the pork chops and there were 2 big chops but he left a whole one and part of the other one because the food had no seasoning to it. If I were ever to go to Norma’s cafe again, I would go to the one on Davis avenue near the post office off sylvan Street.

Manager rushed seating and “double sat us” as we were told. We were told someone would be right with us 3 times before anyone came to the table. Took 20 minutes just to place a drink order. The manager hid behind the host stand doing nothing the whole time we were there. We placed our food order eventually and they delivered all our food except my husbands. We were told it was in the oven then 5 minutes later were told the order didn’t go through. We had to leave with my husbands breakfast in a to go container which he ate in the car as we had to be else where shortly. Unpleasant experience all around.

My Mom got the catfish plate and I got the chicken and dressing. It's a cafeteria style place with lots of interesting memorabilia posted and shelved. Our server was over it, but she did what a server is supposed to do short of being extra friendly and making the small talk. They had three ladies working the whole place. The food came out pretty quick and it was good. My chicken was dry and they didn't put as much giblet gravy on as I needed. My mac and cheese was dry, but my Mom's looked great. The dressing is delicious! Catfish looked nice. The glazed carrots are a must people! GET THE GLAZED CARROTS! The rolls and cornbread was a nice appetizer. The server recommended the coconut cream over the lemon meringue and she still brought us the lemon meringue. We just went with it, but it was underwhelming. The crust was so hard and the filling really lacked the bite of lemon. The coconut cream is topped with meringue also so heads up.

The best food. I've already been to every Norman's that they have in Texas. My comfort food.Parking: More than enough space for everyone to park.Kid-friendliness: My grandbabies love it there.

I had a great time here. The food was amazing. Need a little work on their greens (I add sugar to mine when cooking), but the prices for plates are cheap! Especially for 3 sides!

Ordered for delivery so the fact it took "forever" is not reflected in the review. The fact they send half the wrong stuff and 1 entire meal was not sent is the review. What arrived was ok. Not great, not bad.Sadly the frustration of the wait flows into the missing items and the wrong items.10/10 will never order from here again.Really suggest finding another place if you are ordering for delivery.Update: cherry pies have strings of plastic in them. Seems like if they can F up the entire thing, they do. Haha. Amazing.
