Not to be clichè, but if I could leave nothing on food + service I would. I’m still here. That’s how necessary it is to leave this review. Service fee + gratuity already being added must mean to these servers that they can now do the bare minimum of showing up to the table. Waitresses walk around scrolling instagram. They get food and sit down and scroll, taking their time, and then return to check on a table. It’s clear this isn’t an establishment focused on service. The food was basic and salty, absolutely nothing special. Hopefully this review is carefully considered and accountability is applied. There’s opportunity to be better, but this doesn’t seem like an establishment focused on progress. The DJ is doing well.

However, there is a woman who sits in the women’s restroom begging for tips in exchange for simply passing us paper towels. Very rude. Verbally and physically combative. Needs to be removed from the establishment.

My first time visiting this location, and getting service was like pulling teeth! The big guy at the door was a total jerk, the “servers” were trash and they charged $55 for a hookah on cashapp. The Dj was the only good thing about this place. Would not recommend.

My boyfriend and I went last weekend with some friends. We are from out of town Bianca was out bartender. She made sure we were well taken care of. From drink recommendations and to other places to go after. Bri and Bianca made it so much fun for us!! We went next door to Kanvas before and the bartender’s weren’t as friendly or welcoming. Show up all kitchen staff sitting outside, saying kitchen closed. They not open yet!!! Horrible, disrespectful, and if I ever hear someone mention going here, I will share my experience!!!

Everything I ordered here was delicious. The vibe and atmosphere was cool as well. I had a couple of sidecar cocktails and the fried catfish and shrimp basket. I definitely recommend. Also tried the quesadilla and the red velvet chicken and waffles and it was all really good, too. Everyone in my party was extremely pleased with their choices.

Came for drinks . We walked in to an empty place, but they had just opened. We didn't mind because we didn't feel rushed and we had the place to ourselves. We ordered crab cakes, catfish and shrimp, wings and gumbo. As for drinks, my friend ordered the French 75 and I ordered a peach lemon drop. The crab cakes were ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. The catfish, shrimps, and wings were delicious. The fish and shrimp were well seasoned and cooked with real cornmeal!!! The service was EXCELLENT as well. The guy who waited on us was very attentive and the chef actually came to introduce herself. Oh and it was reasonably priced.. Needless to say, I was very pleased and will be back!!

Nowhere is nowhere I would ever be going again. We got to the establishment very early when it opened. There was no tissue in the ladies restroom, which doesn't make sense. You just opened. We had to ask 3 team members to replace it before it got done. We had a section. Our server took our order and the food took about an hour to get to my friends. The table next to me said their food only took about 20-30 minutes. The server kept trying to sell us bottles and we wanted to eat before drowning in liquor. My server was very nonchalant. She did not go check to see where my food was (she was light skin with light brown hair and a heart tattoo) I asked the other server and he said he would be back. At the 2 hr mark, I still had not gotten my food. I asked several staff members to get a manager. I manager never came so I went to find one. I told her, I had been waiting for two hours for my food. She did not apologize or anything. She told me it would be 15 mins. Food still was not ready. Another 15 mins passed and I asked the other manager who brought my food to pack it up at this point and I would appreciate of my new was comped since all of my friends had eaten and I was just sitting around waiting. He never came back. I asked my server what was going on and why she hadn't checked on me and my food. She said she did not know she just works here. Exactly, your job is to work your section. On top of that we were buying bottles, hookah and other drinks. The service and the management here is terrible. Do not waste your time or money. I have never been so disgusted with customer service. The music was good tho

I celebrated earning my Masters Degree with some of my friends here on a Sunday afternoon. Our reservation was for 1pm. We’re mid-40s to early 50s so I think we were the “aunties” while we were there. We were carded at the door. The food was amazing! Chef Drea came out and spoke to our party. She was so personable and even took a picture with us. We had catfish,, crab cakes, salmon croquettes, grits, mac and cheese and a breakfast bowl. Everything was delicious. The DJ was good. I noticed that the seating cushions were a little worn. They appeared dirty and had several burn holes in them. The bar was not able to make an espresso martini, per the waitress. I settled for Tito’s and Red Bull. Overall the visit was good. I’ll definitely be back for the food.

The wife and I came here for valentines day; We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly! We ordered the salmon bites, cajun pasta, salmon cakes, with the strawberry shortbread dessert. I gave the food 4/5 stars because the dessert was subpar but every other dish was GOOOOD. The service was 10/10 (my wife enjoyed the banter with our server) and we really enjoyed the D.J. (Imagine mixing drake energy with afrobeats, that was the vibe being curated).
Would definitely come back here purely for the music and drinks but good to know the food slaps also!
