I really enjoyed my experience! Getting smoked at Oak’d! Our pit master was very knowledgeable and I learned on top of a good meal. The burnt ends were my favorite! I will definitely be back on just the hospitality alone.

We are from New Jersey, here for the weekend. I was determined to have real Texas barbecue, and at Oak’d I was not disappointed! We shared the 3 meat plate, with prime brisket, spare ribs, and burnt ends. They were spectacular! The brisket, in my opinion, is the best cut of meat from the cow, bar none, and they cooked it perfectly! Not quite fall-apart, so it’s not mushy in your mouth. The ribs were also just shy of fall off the bone, but your jaw doesn’t have to work hard to get the meat free. The burnt ends, pork only as they ran out of beef, were beautiful little bites. We also had red potato salad, which was perfect, collard greens which were very good, and mixed squashes and onions, also yummy. They even had dark beer for me and my honey had a lime soda, both of which we enjoyed.
I could not have asked for a better Texas barbecue!

The marble cheesecake was delicious and definitely the highlight. The brisket was a bit dry, but it was about an hour before closing, so it may have been sitting for a while. The vegetables were great, and the mac and cheese was okay. The sweet tea and lemonade weren’t very sweet even as an Arnold Palmer they were just alright overall.
