Save your time😭😭 if you get put in Malik’s section, you might as well just go somewhere else. Some people are truly not meant to be servers. So sad cause i loved this place before

This score should be a flat 0. I just left this place without getting any food. After more than an hour waiting, we just got up and left. According to the manager, our server had put in our order more than 10:53. We were seated at 10 am! Our server kept making excuses about the kitchen when in reality he just did not put in our order! Ridiculous!

OPH has been my go to place for years. Consistently excellent food and service. Santana took care of me this morning - my coffee cup was never empty and he approaches with a smile! Dine at OPH - you will not be disappointed. .

Maria was a true pro. She was efficient, helpful, and on time. Never waited a second longer than needed. We were on a breakfast date and were able to easily stay engaged as our server was not a distraction. If all servers could be like Maria we would never have upset customers. Go Maria!

I came to the original pancake house for the first time ever and it did not disappoint! I honestly cant wait to go back, me and friends enjoyed the food very much and the service was excellent. The pancakes were my favorite! I've never tasted a better pancake in my life.

Our server Fernando did a great job explaining items on the menu and even gave us some recommendations. Everything was served in a timely manner and he was very respectful and professional.

11/10 I highly recommend paying this location a visit and I will be returning oneday

Original Pancake House has become a quiet favorite in Highland Park, and for good reason. The pancakes are impeccably fluffy, the ham delivers a flawless sweet-and-salty balance, and the hot syrup is a refined, indulgent finish. The espresso is rich and intentional, definitely will have you taking one TO-GO!

I have become a regular here inviting all of my clients and colleagues. Fernando, who has served us several times, is consistently exceptional: polished, attentive, and effortlessly precise. His service elevates the experience every visit.

This location has become a true community hit, earning its place as a refined breakfast destination. Timeless. Reliable.

As a media member of the restaurant week: I always look for restaurants on the rise. As the World Cup is approaching I see this place being a hit with the local fanatics of the game. Compliments to the chef, from a small West Texas girl living in the city it’s always nice to feel the comfort food of good Texas breakfast. I see this place continually going viral and for good reason. All in all the people were wonderful and you can tell they love what they do. Until our next adventure, but in the meantime make sure you have their home squeezed OJ.

Our experience at Original Pancake House was absolutely outstanding, and a huge part of that was thanks to Fernando. From the moment we sat down, his attention to detail was exceptional. He was attentive while being incredibly professional, and genuinely kind. Every part of our visit felt seamless because Fernando anticipated our needs before we even had to ask.

He took the time to make sure everything was perfect, checked in at all the right moments, and made us feel truly welcomed and valued as guests. His level of care and pride in his work is rare, and it completely elevated our breakfast experience. Because of Fernando, I immediately wanted to tell my friends and family that this is the place to come for breakfast.

And the food the French crepes are an absolute must-try. Light, perfectly made, and incredibly delicious. Pairing amazing food with service like Fernando’s is what turns a regular breakfast into a memorable experience. The orange juice, please try, it was so good, reminded me of my childhood.

Fernando is genuinely one of the best people I’ve ever interacted with in a restaurant setting. If I could give 10 stars, I would without hesitation. Original Pancake House is extremely lucky to have him, and we will absolutely be back and asking for Fernando every single time!!! If you have a special occasion ask for him he’s going to make it FABULOUS!!!!!

It takes a lot for me to leave a poor review for a business. My daughter brought me here for breakfast while I’m visiting from out of town. It took over 15 minutes for anyone to come take our drink order. We ordered our food at the same time. The drinks did not arrive until we were almost finished with our food. We had to catch the hostess and another server to get what we needed. We didn’t even have water. My daughter’s order was wrong, and they didn’t bring her the side of fruit she ordered. We were very kind through all of this, as my daughter is also a server. Our server avoided our table once he knew he messed up. I had to flag down another server to get a refill on my coffee. The only they “took off our bill” was the fruit that they never brought us. At the very least I would have expected them to comp the drinks we didn’t get until our meal was almost over, which is what I asked them to do when I paid the bill and they agreed. We understand things can get hectic in the service industry but this was a pretty ridiculous experience.
