My girlfriend was having a really tough day, so I wanted to plan a meaningful date night for her. I coordinated having flowers delivered ahead of our reservation, and the hostess made everything seamless by bringing the flowers to our table as soon as we were seated. Mid November in Dallas, the temp was 69º and we thought it was going to be a little chilly. We wanted outdoors but chose the fireside seating and it was great. The tuna nachos, ribs, and margaritas, and Moscow mules were all delicious. Seating could've easy sat 8 - perfect for face to face and plate sharing. Decor and outside, gorgeous. Bathroom, clean. Staff, slow by comparison of east coast but nice. 8.5 /10, have already been back again.
Palma is a beautiful restaurant, and the space still stands out in Deep Ellum. We stopped by on a Friday night and were able to walk right in, which was surprising given how busy it used to be. The food was okay. Nothing bad, but nothing that really stood out either. The drinks were the highlight of the night and were consistently very good.
