I loved Pancho's growing up in another Texas town. The food at this Pancho's is pretty close to the quality of my childhood experience. However the decor and overall experience is sadly much much worse. If you're looking for the full experience try the Pancho's in Arlington. But if you're just looking for good food then this one is a great spot to grab it.
I cant be for sure, but i feels there was a change in the resturant which in turn did change the entire experience to a new. From how clean the restaurant looked to how the food tasted. Panchos was always a favorite of mine but seeing these changes happen really did bring the nostalgic days of my child hood. Thank you so much for the meal 😊😊😊
First allow me to say my waiter was GREAT! Although.... after waiting at least 10 minutes before getting our order started the lady moves on to another customer before finishing ours therefore our food had sat on the "hot plate" and was cold by the time we sat down. I asked for a taco no lettuce the lady put lettuce then scrapped it off added cheese and put it on my plate. THEN I go to use the restroom , 100% filthy! It stunk so bad ...not to mention someone threw up in the sink . Absolutly digusting, i totally lost my appetite while eating my cold meal. Just sad how bad food service has went downhill.
It's poncho's, you know what to expect: cafeteria style Tex Mex and raising the flag for more of whatever it is that delights you. Perfectly average food, clean environment and i didn't puke or p out my b, that's a solid family recipe for 3 stars in my book.
Food taste like the stuff you find in the frozen food section of the grocery. The only thing worse than the food is the service. Its usually a "skeleton crew" and, even with that, they seem to be rarely at their posts on the buffet line (honest to goodness, I waited 6 minutes before someone came from the back to see if there was someone in line). As for the location itself, it's surrounded by construction & vacant buildings. The interior is clean enough, with the exception of uneven tables & chairs. If your nostalgic for the Pancho's of old, then this will have SOME appeal. Other than that, simply go elsewhere.
