Not sure what the deal is with takeout as a long time patron but, my first takeout order was HIGHLY DISAPPOINTING. I usually order inside but tried takeout this time. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!! Order on sight and CHECK YOUR ORDER!!!!!! I got a Cobb salad presented like a head of lettuce with minimal crab meat which I paid extra for!!!! A rip off!!!! BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was disappointing to find out they no longer have happy hour nor crab cakes.
The food never, ever disappoints. We had the rainbow trout with coconut jasmine crab rice and the oldie, but goodie Crawfish Combo (fried and etouffe style).

I absolutely love Pappadeaux's. Our server Cedric knocked it out of the park today! We had been not too long ago and had a really bad experience with the hostess which I won't get into because the manager did rectify the situation and went above and beyond to make sure that never happens again. Anyhow we gave them another shot today because I've been going to this location for years and I love their fried crawfish. I got the fried crawfish my husband got the catfish and shrimp platter I think it was called. Cedric made sure every single need of ours was taken care of before we even got to the point of needing anything. The drinks were getting low before we could even ask Cedric was there. He perfectly timed our appetizer with our meal so that right when we were done with the appetizer the entrees were coming out almost immediately. He gave us room to enjoy our conversation and our time with each other which is awesome because that's hard to find in a server. But he also made sure that we knew he was always there to help and he paid close attention to anything that we might need before we would need it. He was polite, he was helpful, he really does love his job and that is obvious. We have had some really good service from the servers there lately. Cedric was amazing we would love to have him as our server again anytime we go he made it a very wonderful experience. If you go I recommend asking for him by name. If he's not available then Adam is also awesome who is the person that helped us the previous time and he was very friendly and helpful also. I looked for the manager before I left because I wanted to go out of my way to let them know how great Cedric did but I didn't see the manager around and we couldn't wait around forever so I wanted to make sure to make this post right now. Thank you for everything Cedric You restored my joy and desire to continue to go to Pappadeaux's! White glove service! Top tier!

My experience at Pappadeaux’s is always positive. I enjoy their Fried catfish platter w/o oysters. It has been a while since I dined there but my carry out experience has been equally impressive.

This is my family’s favorite place and it’s the best food in Texas according to my husband 😋. We always leave full and happy.

We always love to eat here when in Dallas
This was the worst experience we have ever had! There was no wait time so not busy…we, 2 adults were sat in a section that was occupied by around 12 people at a long table. The table had many children and looked like 4 adults. This is a parent problem as no 1 was paying attention to the kids turning chairs over, running behind us and so forth. We raised 4 so tried to be patient, asked to be moved and told the staff was short in the other area. Did not appear to be true. We waited forever for salads…they arrived 1/2 a beat from our luck warm food. As we were assessing the fact that my plate was wrong, 5 then 6 employees decided to have a staff meeting in front of our table!!!! Waiting to tell our waitress I had the wrong food but she was in a Staff meeting!!!
My plate was exchanged….also cold and sloppy
There was never anyone to speak with, it was over 100 dollar meal that was awful!
It will be a long long time before we go again and will never go to that location ever again!!

Lively, big-flavored seafood with generous portions and Creole flair make Pappadeaux a fun choice for seafood fans. Fresh Gulf catches, bold sauces, and classic sides shine, though waits can be long and prices are on the higher side. Great for celebrations or big appetites.

We chose Pappadeaux for what we hoped would be a special evening, but unfortunately the experience fell short.
We had a 7:30 reservation and checked in at 7:25, yet we were not seated until 7:40. While guests are expected to arrive on time or risk losing their reservation, it seems that courtesy was not reciprocated.
We ordered the shrimp and crawfish fondeaux, which was underwhelming. We barely touched it, and no one asked why it was left unfinished or if there was an issue.
My husband enjoyed his meal; however, mine was disappointing. I ordered linguine with Alexander sauce and fried shrimp, but we were charged for the Pasta Mardi Gras instead. The shrimp were rubbery and the pasta was extremely overcooked. Once again, despite the plate being mostly untouched, the server never checked to see if something was wrong.
To add to the disappointment, it was my husband’s birthday. Several nearby tables celebrating birthdays were acknowledged with complimentary desserts, while ours went completely unrecognized.
Between the inattentive service, billing issue, and lack of consistency, the experience was frustrating and disappointing. Sadly, this visit makes it difficult to justify returning.
Our waiter Bobby did an excellent job. My friend and I went during the holiday season and even though it was very busy we enjoyed ourselves and will be back soon.
