The experience that I had with this organization was not pleasant.
I was offered employment during the State Fair of Texas season 2024.
I didn't get to a full shift because the owner stated, "That he smelled alcohol on my breath", after I returned from the restroom.
My medication instructs me not to drink alcohol. And I had not been drinking!
I was devastated and it was just discrimination. I am a young senior citizen my age is 59 years old.
And, I have not been paid for the hours that I worked.

Went to this place at the fair. Tried to get one item. Poorly ran. They seemed very disorganized with multiple people trying to do multiple different things. They were trippingbover each other. This led to very long wait times for everyone while we were there. For us in particular, we waited for 25 minutes asking multiple times for our order. After 25 minutes, we asked for our tickets back only to be told we could not get a refund becuase they drop the tickets. They literally told us we couldn't have our order nor our money back. Yes this made us angry. A guy that may have been the manager came and tried to scold us for being angry and tried to send us on our way by pulling tickets out of his pocket and giving to us. Extremely poor service and very disappointed in the professionalism and lack of problem solving. We ate at numerous stands while at the park, probably 20 and every other stand was friendly and fast. I highly recommend to stay away and spend your money elsewhere.
Damn is not verbal abuse especially in the context it was used. We worked with you the first two times we asked for the order and continued to wait. Expecting a product in a timely manner once paid for is not disrupting business.

I had the chance to try the deep fried ox tails roll and the fried peach cobbler roll at the Texas State Fair a few days ago. It was bomb!! The people were nice too.

"Pearlie’s Southern Kitchen is a culinary masterpiece, bridging generations with recipes deeply rooted in Southern traditions. I was introduced to their amazing dishes at the State Fair of Texas, and it was a flavor journey back to authentic Southern cooking. Kerston Crawford-Thorns' passion and dedication to continuing the lessons from her beloved grandmother, Pearlie Mae, shine through every dish. The mouthwatering Deep-Fried Collard Greens and the show-stopping six-cheese macaroni are testament to this. With an exciting future ahead, including a Mobile Food Trailer, I'm eager to follow their journey on social media. Kudos to a brand that keeps family and heritage at its core!"

Visited the State Fair in 2022 and was absolutely blown away by the diverse and mouth-watering food offerings! Every bite took me on a culinary journey, especially the deep fried potato salad! - a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation. Already marking my calendar for 2023. Can't wait to come back and savor more delightful dishes. If last year was any indication, 2023 is going to be another adventure! Highly recommend! Cheat day, here I come!

I've been to many state fairs over the years, but the food here is truly unparalleled! Each dish tantalized my taste buds, with Pearlie Mae's Soul Rolls standing out as a culinary masterpiece. It's evident that a lot of love and tradition goes into every bite. Without a doubt, the best food offerings I've ever experienced at a state fair. Can't wait for my next visit! Highly recommend to all food enthusiasts.

They are a food truck couldn’t find them around
Last year I had Pearlies Southern Kitchen during their showcase at the Dallas State Fair and was absolutely blown away! Their signature dishes were reminiscent of true Southern comfort food. Kerston and her husband was exceptionally friendly, and the ambiance made me feel like I was back in grandma's kitchen. Will definitely visit them at the state fair next month. Highly recommend!

Ever since diving into the story of Kerston Crawford-Thorns, I've been enthralled by the deep Southern influence and heartfelt memories that Pearlie’s Southern Kitchen brings to the table. I first saw their "Deep Fried Potato Salad" featured on the Kelly Clarkson Show, and it's no wonder it got national recognition! Kerston's dedication to preserving her grandmother Pearlie Mae's legacy is genuinely inspiring. From the State Fair of Texas to their upcoming Mobile Food Trailer, Pearlie's dishes feel like a comforting embrace of kinship and laughter on a plate. Can't wait to see more of what they offer on social media!
