Poor David's is a longtime Dallas venue for live music that has been housed in various locations over the years. Check their website calendar for scheduled musicians. No food service, but you can bring in outside food. Don't expect fancy cocktails here as most patrons favor beer, but I have gotten a serviceable Old Fashioned.
One of the best live music venues in the city, Poor David's is the place for true blue music lovers. There isn't a bad seat in the house, and whether you splurge on front row seats (which are always reasonably priced) or stick with GA, you're never settling for a bad convert experience. No food there but it's a bar w live music. They do allow you to have food delivered and have some menus. Anyway great venue for live music. Parking across the street is 10 bucks in the evening.
