It's not just a place to stay, it's a destination. Stayed one night on a friend's trip and was blown away by how unique and beautiful the home was. We loved our room and our balcony and we enjoyed doing some yoga in the morning in the beautiful yard. The speakeasy was especially special and we loved the little touches like all the snacks and we enjoyed the breakfast in the morning. Really wonderful hospitality! Would highly recommend and would stay again.

The Gaston is stunning and takes expectations of a BNB to another level! Not only is it gorgeous throughout, my room was comfy and had a homey feel. I felt like I was pampered staying there! Honestly, it was such a treat. There is so much extra to this home you will never get at a hotel! It has a beautiful bar, delicious baked treats, a snack basket, a few places to sit and hang out outside of your room, and more. It’s also in a great location—you can walk to a beautiful street lined with estates and trees, or catch a quick ride to cool Dallas spots. I’d love to come back here again.

If you’re looking for a boutique first class experience look no further than The Gaston. Each room has a unique and gorgeously decorated theme from the pictures on the wall, the gorgeous tile in your bathroom or the unique furnishings throughout the entire bed and breakfast. Want a unique photo op? Look no further. The front porch even has gorgeous chairs and plants to just hang out and have a cup of coffee. Check out their unique and swanky bar for a cocktail or relax on the back patio. This place has it all and more. Cheers!

We had a fabulous stay here, it’s so stylish and so many thoughtful touches. It was very comfortable with several seating areas to relax in. The outdoor space is lovely, breakfast was great. Maureene was very hospitable and accommodating, I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it. It makes an ideal base to explore Dallas and having a car would be a advantage

Five star luxurious experience all the way. From the incredible details throughout the exquisite home to the private guest suites, to the most comfortable beds & pillows, to the very detail of the eucalyptus spray in the shower; everything was to perfection. My friends loved our ladies weekend retreat and we can’t wait to schedule our next stay.

We absolutely loved this charming venue. My daughter got married here 10/1/21. It couldn't have been a more perfect choice for an intimate wedding. It's a huge home built in early 1900s. All bedrooms have their own bathroom, and all bedrooms are upstairs. The beds are so comfortable, pillows were plentiful and perfect. The bedrooms are themed, and we stayed in the JFK room. There is space outdoors for a ceremony which was perfect but if you have a larger group and it rains, there really isnt an option except to hold ceremony indoors, which is what we did. There are so many interesting touches to this home. there is a covered porch, a bar inside, a huge professional kitchen with everything you need, several sitting rooms, a fireplace, a sun room, and as I said, an area for wedding ceremony out back. The very long table in the dining room seated all attendees perfectly. The event planner had everything handled in case of rain. This venue worked wonderfully for our small wedding of 12 attendees. It was perfect!

My husband and I live in Washington. We chose to have our wedding at The Gaston, because we could rent the whole place out, have an outdoor ceremony, and it was close to our families. The original quote I received was $13, 000 for 60 people but ultimately I paid $18, 000 for 80 people, in advance. However, due to COVID, we were only able to host 45 people. Therefore I was expecting several thousand dollars back, this assumption was confirmed by the caterer and the wedding planner. On Monday before the wedding, the forecast said there was going to be rain on my wedding day. I contacted the planner about options. Previously, she had stated a tent for the backyard would be around $2500. I asked her to contact the company. On Wednesday she came back with a quote for $8000. I felt this was astronomical, an additional $8000?? I asked about other options, they said they could cover just the patio for $4000, which I still felt was way overpriced for a tent, or move the wedding inside. By Friday no one had a plan or seemed to be working on the issue. When I asked how it would work if we moved the wedding inside, they did not know. My family and I were very disappointed with the venue and their lack of options or planning. My father approached the owners, and made it clear that it was unacceptable to expect us to pay extra for a tent, because as a wedding venue they should have options for bad weather. I flat out refused to spend another dime. We asked the owners to provide a tent, and in the end they did. Hours before the wedding, I checked on the cake. The cake looked nothing like the picture I provided. I was very upset because there was nothing that could be done at this point. The wedding planner picked up the cake and signed off on it. It was totally different then what we had asked for. Later when we cut into the cake we realized the flavors and filling were incorrect as well. I was extremely disappointed. Monday after the wedding, I asked the planner to contact the bakery and let them know about the cake and to contact the caterer for my refund. I received an email, stating I can get a credit for a “regular-sized” cake from the bakery anytime in the next year, but no refund. I live in Washington and obviously have no way to use this. They ruined a once in a life time experience and a cake doesn’t make up for their bad service. The refund from the venue was $500. I was livid this was what I was told I would receive. I emailed wanting to know where the rest of my money was. The planner stated once they accounted for the "additional costs”, I didn't get a refund, but “by the grace of The Gaston, " they would give me $500 since they felt bad about the way things were handled. The Gaston charged me for the cost of the tent. The owners never came to us with prices or asked us if we would cover a portion of the cost, or told us we had any responsibility for the cost of the tent at all. In fact, we flat out told them we did not want to pay for a tent, but they charged us for it anyway, informing us after the fact. After all that, the tent leaked badly, and my wedding dress was soaked and muddy after our first dance. Another once in a lifetime experience ruined. I definitely would not recommend The Gaston. The hassle we had to go through was not worth it.

I stayed at the Gaston for a girls’ trip to Dallas. I thought the house looked cool on the website. But wow- it was even more amazing in person. The house is beautiful and full of historical stories and details. Even though it is a historical home, it has beautiful and clean modern amenities. You really have to see all the details and hidden treasures for yourself in person. The host was kind and gracious and available as needed. I loved how she had healthy food and healthy snacks available. The backyard looked like something out of an HGTV episode about beautiful backyards. I want to go back when it is warmer so I can enjoy the backyard with some music and wine!
