Absolutely fantastic meal - Nothing on the menu really stood out to me at first, we ordered a mix for the table and everything came out flawlessly. The sushi was perfection, Tuna Salad Sando was surprisingly the best Tuna Sando I have ever had.
Only nit picky thing - Don't seat couples coming for a meal in the bar when the restaurant is wide open. Had the young finance bros in the bar this evening, needing to make sure everyone could hear everything they were saying like it was the gospel.
Great meal - staff was attentive and professional. No nose rings or purple hair.
Just a solid time.

I had dinner on a Tuesday night with one of my lifelong friends that I hadn’t seen in a while. We had an early dinner and we’re sipping on our second glass of wine when the manager told us that we needed to leave soon because there was a reservation coming up and they needed our table. I have been in the restaurant industry in the past as a general manager. It was the rudest thing I’ve ever experienced. I will not go back.
RD Kitchen is one of the cleanest restaurants I’ve ever been to. The kitchen, dining room, bar area, and bathrooms are absolutely spotless — not a speck out of place. You can tell cleanliness is a top priority here. Truly impressive!

This review is long overdue as my fiancée and I eat here at least 3 times a month lol.
R+D delivers an exceptional experience every single visit. The service is consistently great whether you’re at the bar or in the dining room, and the attention to detail really stands out (they’ll swap your martini glass with a chilled glass before it even gets warm).
The food never misses. Our go-tos are the rainbow roll, pressed sushi, deviled eggs, and the chicken sandwich. The dishes are always well-executed and insanely delicious.
Huge shoutout to Andrew behind the bar for going above and beyond. He introduced my fiancée to the Mexican martini, and she’s been obsessed ever since. And Trish is just as great! Very personable, warm, and welcoming. (Honestly the entire staff is incredible trust me).
We always come as a party of 2 and usually walk in, either sitting at the bar or waiting about 30 minutes, never longer. Still, reservations are a good idea because it’s a popular spot and worth the planning.
This is our neighborhood staple for the long haul. Grateful for the team, the drinks, and the consistently great meals.

I'm glad I didn't review this place after my first visit many years ago because although there was absolutely nothing wrong with my first visit, there was nothing impressionable either - it just seemed a popular place.
Fast forward many years and I have definitely become a fan over the last 18 months. I've now had a chance to try various menu items and have been in contact with more of the staff. I've taken plenty of friends there and all of the reviews from them are the same as well – this is a lovely place with pleasant people and flavorful food. It can help to have a reservation because it can get busy.

Food, service, and atmosphere were all excellent. The massive central bar really anchors the space and sets the tone for the entire restaurant. The one downside was that it clearly felt like a churn-and-burn operation—everything came out almost immediately, and it seemed like they were eager to turn the table quickly. We were at a limited four-top, which likely contributed to that feeling. While everything was well done, the rushed experience makes it unlikely we’ll return anytime soon.

This was a great place for dinner, the sushi was on point and the staff were very attentive. My guests kept getting their sparkling waters topped off with regular water, but the staff fixed it promptly. Great experience!

I went to have a meal today. The food and service were really good. The ingredients were very fresh. But the host this morning really made me uncomfortable. He seemed to be a bit racist. When we came in, he didn't react at all. I stood there for a while and nobody paid attention to me. It was I who took the initiative to talk to him. But when a white person came in, he immediately put on a smiling face to greet them. This was really disappointing.

Great food. Decent bar service. Trash management. Overly pretentious and inconsistent enforcement of dress code. One out of 5 stars.
My boyfriend and I dined at the bar early evening. He had a nice ball cap on backwards which they politely asked he turn around. He did. A 20 something in the next booth over with his parents was wearing a Mavs basketball jersey, another dress cose violation, clearly stated on their website. Guess who didn't get talked to about that?

I’ve loved this establishment for years. One of my Dallas favorites! Reservations are a must, otherwise you will be facing a long wait. This is a very popular restaurant.
