It was cool in the 2010s. But even then that was only the case because every other fried chicken place was straight trash. Kfc not even crispy, popeyes tasting like stale oil, churches only if you want to drive to the hood, williams if you want some sides that arent chicken ifuknowhatimsayin. Now that there are tons of fried chicken places, Canes is honestly showing its age and tasting extra bland. Back then just having unseasoned fried ckn was good enough because everything else was just that bad. But now canes is pretty forgettable and more of a nostalgia option than anything. The tenders have gotten smaller and lemonade is extra, unlike before back in the days. Chicken is super bland. Which was forgivable a decade ago, but now... Just kind of depressing going here really.Layne's is the new canes. People just dontrealize it yet.

The food is normal as expected. Canes fries just aren't that good. Texas toast is also kind of tasteless, but the chickens were acceptable. The place is slightly dirty in the sense that crumbs will still be on the tables, but there is not anything like used napkins or straw wrappers left behind. Good place to go if it is 11pm and you forgot to eat because it will still be open.Kid-friendliness: Normal place you can take children to.

These idiots just let me sit through the drive through before closing and closed the line with cones behind me. 20 minutes later when I get to the ordering booth they tell me they're closed. None of the half brain cell geniuses in there could have thought to come and say that sooner?

I like raising canes chicken anyways for a quick munch or whenever I carve for good chicken fingers. But this location is especially my favorite for its quick service and friendly staff.

Drove 20 minutes to get food to be stopped at the door at 6:40pm and told they were closed for a holiday party and to leave. I’ve literally never seen a restaurant do this, and on December 4th? Not really professional. (Also there was no signage posted about said party)
