Best market and coffee shop in the downtown area.

I just love coming here to get coffee every morning. Patsy, dee and mimi are so sweet and amazing. They give me great customer service everytime. I would highly recommend coming to berkleys to enjoy a breakfast taco and coffee everyday if you could.

The butter cakes there are amazing!

Went to get a drink this morning 07/22/25 and the older white lady there was being extremely rude and condescending all because I said my drink needed more sweetener. It’s $8 for a drink. You can at least be accommodating it’s never that serious to be rude to a customer because they’re not liking a drink. And then you want a tip? The audacity is immense. This is the second time they have been weird and rude about a drink. Obviously someone needs coaching. That was not cool.

The most expensive grocery store I’ve ever seen. $7 regular carton of eggs, $5 Rao’s spaghetti.

This was a great neighborhood store. However lately it's empty. Looks like it's close to shutting down or going out of business. Nothing is ever in stock and it's sad

I used to love this store but in recent months they rarely have much. It is always a miracle when I can even find essentials like eggs, butter, cream cheese The rest of the shelves are so frequently empty or incredibly limited... it is a wonder they are even still open.

Love that there's a Berkely's downtown; would love it even more if the price points were a bit more friendly, but it is what it is for bodega style convenience.

? WHAT THEY’RE KNOWN FOR: being a Foxtrot replacement lol! But they are the same concept a coffee/drink counter with grocery store items! They existed before Foxtrot shut down tho c
? THE VIBE: not really a vibe it’s straight up a mini grocery store. Not as aesthetic as I thought from the outside. There’s some spots to sit but not many people were sitting when we came.

- Finally tried @berkleys.mkt matcha and it was very good actually I have no complaints! I think the Biscoff syrup I chose definitely elevated it for sure but nonetheless it was a good cup of matcha! I can’t remember if they whisked it with a wooden whisk or not but as you can tell by how green the matcha is it was great!
- It was a bit slow in there which I was surprised about on a Sunday morning! This location is downtown Dallas parallel parking but I think there’s others that have easier parking.
- I never had the Foxtrot matcha but I was a huge fan of their lattes for sure so I’ll definitely try Berkley’s coffee next time to compare!

I was staying at an Airbnb near the Giant Eyeball and was happy to find Berkeley's Market while on an evening stroll, like someone else said it was like a tiny Whole Foods Market! I am a health nut. They have higher quality waters (Hawaiian volcanic water anyone?), drinks, fresh coffees, fresh fruit & vegetables, quality goat cheese I like, grass fed Irish butter (Im a butter-holic), beers! The other thing that was great was that they have an ATM in the back, as a solo female traveller I was looking for a place that felt safe to get cash (not on the street or 7/11) so this was a winner for me! Thanks to the owner for putting together a higher quality selection of goods than what you can get around here, I did not have a car so needed to source everything on foot. I did walk to Tom Thumb and got a Lyft back once when I first got here because I didn't know about Berkley's, they even had small size less toxic laundry supplies, and tampons, yes! I'm a fan ? Ready to Eat stuff like salads too ? thanks again!
