We pulled up at 4:05 p.m. and they stated they were closed, when Business hours posted states 4:30 p.m. Drove from North Arlington and very disappointed in the lack of accommodation.

Mannn, I love Rudy’s! My friend was visiting from Taiwan and wanted to go to the zoo. I already knew we’d be heading to Rudy’s right after! We got a 5-piece wing basket to share. She kept saying, “I’ll just have one wing and some fries.” That was a lie!

We ended up eating in the adjacent parking lot like two starving dogs — and yes, she ate both wings, hahaha! We definitely should’ve gotten the 6-piece!

Rudy’s proves that simplicity wins. I went for the three-piece chicken and waffle combo with their house honey-butter drizzle. The chicken was golden, crunchy, and seasoned beautifully; the waffle light and aromatic with vanilla. They hand your order out with a smile, and despite the line, the turnaround was fast. Prices are excellent for the quality. This is the kind of truck that makes you rethink “fast food” — soulful, satisfying, and cooked with pride.

Bring back the LATER BUSINESS HOURS. What kind of shit is 10am - 4:30pm?!?!?
Too much focus on music videos and cyber trucks, and not enough focus on the chicken. Smdh.

Make sure to speak loud and clear into the speaker, or you might get cursed out.

Why not cook the fries to order? It does take long cook frys anyway. Cold fries!! Come on man. Not even sure if you guys have heat lamps. Ya get paid to do work. So please do your job for what you get paid for. I usually tip everywhere but not anymore due to laziness.

The chicken is good but the service is horrible, they cook your chicken as you order causing long line's with you waiting for hours. I just left after waiting over and hour and went to KFC and got my chicken right away. They losing money and customers like this .

I decided to try Rudy's for the first time today because everytime I drove by they had long lines.
Positives: They passed their recent health inspection with a score of 91. The food came out fresh, hot and fast. The chicken was a beautiful dark golden brown with a crispy crust with fries and a pepper. Looking at my plate reminded me of Golden Birds chicken growing up in LA. So my expectations was high. My mouth was anticipating the first flavorful bite.
Negatives: You go up to a windows that was not see through. So you can't see the person you are talking to. To place your order they had to open the pharmacy drive thru looking drawer to take your order. Then your food is ready the pick up drawer is opened and you have to hope that is your oder because no other words are exchanged after order was taken. As I said in the position the food presentation was good. But my god! When I took that first bite I was shocked. It was the most disappointing thing I ever tasted. There was no flavor whatsoever. The crust takes like flour cooked in old grease and the chicken had no taste. I mean there was no seasoning (including no salt) used in the batter and the chicken was not marinated. So I tried a second bite and couldn't get past the old stale grease taste.
I ended up giving my meal to my dog. For me to say Raising Cains chicken tasted better then Ruby's that is saying a lot. I've had better fried chicken at the hospital.
This is not a place I would recommend or have any desire to try again.
