On my short list of Dallas’ all-time favorite restaurants. The service is excellent - prompt and courteous. The newish patio is the back transports you to New Orleans. The cocktail program has expanded and is done well. The seafood remains the star, favorites include fried shrimp, broiled snapper and bread pudding. New to the menu are some outstanding grilled oysters. You wont be disappointed.

One of our favorite places when we go back to Dallas. This time we all had grilled fish, which was superb. Small but good wine list. Service was impeccable.Parking: There is a dedicated free parking lot at the corner just across the street.

I should have left …server was clueless! Man on crutches was even more clueless. 10 people just standing around talking. Only 2 people at the tables. Service sucks!

We waited 30 min for a patio table while half the patio was wide open… Manager said it was a waiting area, yet I saw no one waiting. Not sure if they’re understaffed or it’s a new ownership decision. But having half of the nicest patio in Dallas closed on a beautiful Saturday is just bizarre management. When we were finally sat the food was great.

Went to lunch here, and l wasn't excited. This place used to be so great my has it changed. Before Covi-19, the food was good and very less expensive. I've gone here for years before, and the atmosphere was more vibrant. The waiter was extremely nice, all of them, but it's just not the same for me. The prices to me were over extremely top.Parking: They have parking they do lock the parking at night.Wheelchair accessibility: Unfortunately, entering to me is not that easy.

Our waiter must have either had a bad day or had zero personality. Being our first time to visit S & D this left a bad taste in our mouth. Spending $203 on a meal for your family should be an enjoyable experience. The waiter that we had needs find another job, perhaps something that doesn’t require him to interact with people. There was no greeting when he walked to the table, no recommendations, nothing other than “are you ready?”.The food was pleasant, just overpriced but I assume priced accordingly for the area. Broiled red snapper was absolutely amazing and I would return for that hands down. Other party members also enjoyed the muffuletta, burgers, and fried seafood assortments.Food - 5/5Wait Staff - 0/5Atmosphere - 3/5

This is a must dine at for anyone in Dallas. I've gone to this restaurant for probably three decades, most every time I'm in Dallas, as it's a family favorite. It still has its magic in service, environment, menu, and of course food.Enchantingly beautiful at night time or day time.Well-run restaurant that never fails in my experiences with them over time.Parking: I always manage to find easy street parking here, consistently through the years.Kid-friendliness: Very family friendly, kids included, where inclusion just seems to be natural to the restaurant's culture and operations.Wheelchair accessibility: PLENTY of space to navigate a wheelchair, and an ever-present and -aware staff who make everyone feel special and comfortable.

We have eaten at S & D many times and it has always been one of our favorites. The only thing that was up to par was the osters. My gumbo , always my favorite was horrible.I don't know if it was old or just prepared differently. The fries were soft and my wife's ship plate only contained 4 not 5 shrimp and they were small .I could go on;but we were sadly disappointed.Maybe , it is the change of ownership.

Have been eating here for years. Great fried shrimp. Hidden secret is they have the best deal in town - their cheeseburger!!!!! And don’t miss the lemon pie.
