I've liked the food at Sal's since they were located on Wycjiff. They're in a temporary spot on Maple Ave across from Ojedas. Same good food, location isn't as nice

Very good 👌🏽
I really liked the supreme pizza and you got a lot for the money. The staff was very friendly. If you have someone in your group that doesn't want pizza or pasta they have a sushi, taco and hamburgers in the same location and the share a seating area. A small food court.

To start with in a horrible area and parking is very difficult. Service was to go and was very good but the pizza not so much. I am from New York so I have very high standards. The pizza had a great under carriage and had no flop when eating which is the only positive. The ratio of sauce and cheese was awful. The sauce or cheese doesn't taste fresh at all. The crust is extremely hard and crispy. It just isn't good pizza

The cook named Joe is so handsome and the baked Zitti and Lasagna were delicious and even more special because he made it with his big hands.

This location is currently closed for renovation. We didn't get to partake of the Stromboli I had my mouth all set for. Bummer

I needed 8 large pizzas for our band at the Echo Lounge during dinner time on a Friday night and Sal's KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK!!! I will definitely order from them again.

Unfortunately not a good experience.
So I ordered a breaded chicken fettuccine dinner to be delivered, it was delivered late. Jonathan, the person that delivered it, said he was so sorry that he owed me a pizza. I even spoke to Sal, supposedly the owner, and he accused me of being obnoxious because I’ve called multiple times to try to get my free pizza. His staff has been rude, evasive, sometimes they tell me he doesn’t work there, other times they tell me he works another day… Just got off the phone with the guy that supposedly owns this place, and he tells me that I’m annoying because I’m simply asking for my pizza that was promised… SAL… you need to do better!!! This is not Customer Service!

Restaurantji Recommends
I highly recommend exploring the joints clustered in this little restaurant pool. It’s a fun area and a great way to explore Hispanic-owned and operated places in West Dallas.
Overall, I have to complain that pizza is just done better elsewhere. The crust is almost undercooked, the sauce is mediocre, and the pepperoni could be a lot more crisp. Quality control seems like it’s an issue here, and improving the product could probably drive in a lot more business. I think the staff (who are overall very chill and fun to chat with) deserve better than the pizzas they are being directed to prep and sell!
I was a fan of the old Sal’s and I really hope that this place gets back some of its old mojo!

I cannot rave at how happy I am for this restaurant opening back up again. Although it may not have the full menu as before, I was able to order pizza and pasta. Pizza was 10/10 and maybe even better than before as well as the pasta. The customer service was a 100/10. Everyone was super nice and helpful and patient as I picked up this order closer towards close. But I’m super grateful the staff was willing to wait and cannot wait to see what’s to come for this place.
