The service was abysmally slow. At one point they stopped taking orders for around 20 minutes with no explanation or communication, which caused confusion and frustration. A big operational issue is that the person taking orders is also responsible for making drinks, creating a complete bottleneck with no flow of orders or people. As a result, a number of customers simply left.
The food itself was okay, but for something marketed as “authentic,” it was surprisingly bland and poorly prepared. Overall, it’s a good concept, but the execution and organisation need serious improvement.

The only physical location they have as of January 2026. I love spicy food & bread. This is the perfect trabajo & go place. Keep in mind they have outdoor patio seating & very limited bar stool seating inside. Plus, they're located right across the Eye 👁 & it's a perfect for people watching when weather permits.
Food & drinks ordered:
Iced strawberry 🍓 matcha
Spicy Truffle Chicken Katsu Sando
Smacked Cucumber Salad

Tried Sandoitchi recently and overall it was a solid experience!!
Cajun Ebi sando: couldn’t really taste much Cajun seasoning, but still a pretty good sandwich overall. The fried shrimp and a good texture and wasn’t overcooked.
Chicken katsu: wasn’t my favorite. It was fine, just not something I’d reorder. The sauce leaned way too sweet for me, the chicken wasn’t very juicy, and it lacked flavor.
The bread on both sandos was okay but not what I was hoping for. It felt more like American white bread than Japanese milk bread, which is more fluffy and slightly sweet. Also could’ve used a bit more mayo since the sandwich did taste a little dry.
Drinks: I appreciate the creativity of the drinks. However, the matcha was just okay but I could notice the clumps suspended in the milk, so i had to keep on stirring my drink as I continued to sip. The matcha flavor itself was weak and got overpowered by the other ingredients. The ube mango lassi, though, was solid. All the drinks were too sweet for me though.
Prices are on the higher side for what you get, but the food was still enjoyable and convenient if you’re craving a sando and don’t want to think too hard about it. There is some bench seating inside and tables outside the front.

12/8/25: Delicious food! I would come here everyday if I worked downtown. I had the Wagyu Beef sandwich which was perfect. My brother had an egg salad teriyaki which was also flavorful. The strawberry matcha was perfect to taste and Japanese sweet donut is delicious!
My only con was the employee throwing chairs around closing time. She was frustrated for some reason or going fast so we felt rushed to get out of her way. Hope she feels better.

I do not like the drink here and the food are not it
So good I came back here the next day to get some more.
Ordered online for pickup. We ordered 5 sandos total, 2 of which were supposed to be strawberry sandos. They apparently ran out of strawberry sandos, didn't tell us, substituted it with 1 egg and 1 sweet potato(?) without asking nor notifying us when we picked up our order, and still charged us the full amount for the original 5 sandos.
We'd rather have a refund than 2 random sandos we didn't order, but apparently that's not an option.

love it. Would get this 3 times a week if they were on a delivery app. Instead I get it like once every few months.

Overly hyped place. Definetly one of the mid Japanese restaurants I’ve been to. Ordered the spicy chicken katsu sandwhich and the strawberry matcha. The matcha was the worst I’ve had and the sandwhich was literally just white bread with chicken in it. For what I got it was very overpriced. Better to go elsewhere and just order the chicken, would be half the price and better chicken

This is a small, over priced Japanese sandwich shop down town. The service is slow. The atmosphere of a place that is marketed as an escape to Japan is anything but. The harsh lights, loud noises and excessive heat make is a good reminder that there are worse places than my 4000k lit cubical of work stress hell.
There is a little room to eat inside, but not much.
The sandwiches are good, but nothing special and the taste did not warrant the price.
I'm not upset that I went there and spent too much money on an overpriced, overhyped tiktok trend, but I won't be going back. Take that for what you will.

A pleasant little shop in a busy street. Servers are sweet. However, the sandwiches aren't very authentic and take too much of a Texan twist. Not much flavor in the sandwiches. The donut, however, is very tasty.
