I ordered some tamales for delivery on Christmas Eve and then my husband was laid off from work the very next day. I contacted Sierra Valley Foods to see if we could cancel our order, or, if not, if it could be redirected to a different address since the lay off affected our travel plans. Not only did they refund us, but they went ahead and sent the tamales to us anyway. It really made our day to have these complete strangers show such kindness to us during a really tough time! Thanks to them, we were able to maintain our holiday tradition and eat their DELICIOUS vegan tamales on Christmas Eve.

I almost walked right past this place. Glad their 100% vegan signs were so prominent. I’m visiting Dallas for work and have already started to tune out a lot of the food advertisements, since it doesn’t seem to be a very vegan friendly place, overall.
I had the carne asada quesadilla and recommend it! It’s definitely not health food, but I wouldn’t classify it as vegan junk food either. The portion sizes are also appropriate so as not to feel like you’ve “over-done-it” after eating there. Perfect size for a quick lunch.
The guys working there were very nice as well. Helped me pick something out since I tend to get thrown off by so many options.
Also, in general, I very much recommend checking out the farmers market. It’s a great place with produce (obviously) and several other veg-friendly vendors. One booth selling 15 different kinds of hummus! Another booth that was selling strictly wheat grass shots and sprouts. Such a welcome respite from downtown Dallas.

I had the breakfast tacos today at Dallas Farmer’s Market. Cute little stand, delicious tacos, and even better salsa. Wish I would have ordered the pumpkin conchas, but I can’t win them all. Would definitely recommend a visit. I think I’ll get some nachos next time…
We made a random pit stop at the Dallas Farmers Market and came upon this gem! The vegan conchas are SO GOOD!!!! Can’t wait to go back and try more from the menu.

I ordered a taco kit and a dozen mixed tamales. They were delicious, so easy to prepare, and I think I got some extras in the delivery that I didn't expect. I would definitely recommend Sierra Valley, especially for family or group occasions.
