Food was trash . I showed the worker some short black dude that food was bad before I trashed it . It was not really cooked like I was told. I asked for a refund they refused because they claimed it was half way eaten when I only consumed a few bites . They tried to offer me another meat I said no I just wanted a refund or at least half a refund but again they refused . Another customer even had my back and said she threw way alot of food in the trash . But they didn’t believe me so. Yeah will never eat at this filth again. Horrible brisket and horrible potato salad . Horrible customer service .

Well this was not the experience I was expecting I should have gone to dickeys. The sausage tasted like it had fillers or something was off about it. The brisket tasted good but the amount of sauce was very minimal. Mac and cheese was not cheesy at all. Coleslaw was very good. More misses than hit. Value your time and money go to whataburger.

I know it’s airport food but really the brisket sandwich is really dry even the sauce didn’t help. The potato salad was dry needed some moisture. The baked beans seemed to be out of a can and no flavor. Good thing is the beverage was good. I will try something different next time I am in town.

Came with low expectations as it is airport food but I was still left extremely disappointed. Almost comical how little meat there was on the sliced brisket sandwich. Was pretty much a fatty sandwich with a hint of brisket. Not even exaggerating or trying to be funny; it was gross and I threw it away. I got a decent amount of fries but they’re supposed to be bbq fries but I only got one small half-filled cup of bbq sauce. Was I supposed to split that between the fat sandwich and the fries? Task was proven to be impossible. Don’t know why we’re being frugal with bbq at a bbq place. Need to rename ‘bbq fries’ with ’plain unsalted fries with a 1/4oz of bbq sauce that you share with your fat sandwich’. Also only counted 11 noodles in my side of macaroni. Pathetic. Also cleaned my own table.
I was in DFW during lunch for my flight, so decided ti try the smokehouse for a meal. The register and self ordering kiosk are in front right. There’s a big sitting area on the left side. The orders are served there as well.
The menu has option for sandwiches, plates and combos. It was little pricey, but that’s how it is in airports. I got the two meats combo with pulled chicken and beef brisket. It came with two sides also for which I ordered coleslaw and mac & cheese. The order was ready in about five minutes. The quantity was good. Loved the beef brisket. I could believe how good it tasted. Compared to that pulled chicken fell miles short. I should have just ordered double brisket. The sides were also good.
I was pleasantly surprised how tasty everything was, except the chicken. I’ll surely dine here again if I am back at DFW.

Quite possibly the worst food that I have ever put in, and spit out of, my mouth from a restaurant. The brisket was inedible and tough as shoe leather. The sausage had a rank odor about it and the pulled chicken tasted like it had been boiled in salted water. The Mac and cheese tasted like melted Velvetta had been poured over cooked macaroni. If this place were located outside of the captive audience of the terminal it wouldn’t last one week in TX. There are better options in this airport and I suggest you pass this one by.

Found the worst BBQ in Texas. The pulled pork tasted like it was boiled 4 days ago. It's absolutely tasteless. The 2 tablespoons of sauce in the side cup did nothing to help.
The coleslaw was a pile of coarsely shredded cabbage with very little dressing. The potato salad was dry and tasted like vinegar. We each took about 4 bites and then threw our $20 away. We had to go get something else to eat just to get the sour taste out of our mouths.
1 star for the food.

Please make this the last place to eat at DFW. I'm sitting here right now with this 3 meat plate that is actually a 2 meat plate. You'll get better meat at a deli. The fries were cold, the mac n cheese is ok (the only thing I ate) but the brisket is horrible and I thought the sausage would be ok because it's sausage. Very horrible quality. They should be embarrassed to sell this food...the mac is store bought and that's why it was ok. I was just robbed of $27
