State 28 Grill

We were greeted by the father of the owner (named Pat) who treated us like ROYALTY. My husband served in the military and was injured in service and really needed a morale boost.Pat served too! He is getting ready to celebrate 50 years since he ETS’d out of the Navy(2 tours in Vietnam)The food was AWESOME, the service was GREAT!We WILL be BACK and can’t wait to see Pat again!

Decent BBQ ribs but the jalapeño poppers are a must. Very easy to get too from the Aloft/Element near Love Field.

It was my first time here, ordered the smoked burger at the recommendation of the bartender. Also ordered the famous cheese & bacon fries and a side of collard greens. The fries were delicious, although difficult to share as it's hard to move the fries to the serving plates without scraping part of the aluminum foil that they're served in. The burger, overpowering with smokiness. I ordered my burger medium with cheese, lettuce and onions, but the only thing I could taste throughout the burger was an abundant amount of smokiness. No hint of garlic, pepper, or even salt. The greens were decent but again, lacked any type of seasoning. Just tasted like greens that had simmered in a pot of water for a while. Overall, service was good, but food not so much.

Smoked burger was ok but a bit dry. Roast beef sandwich was not great, collard greens were bland. Fries were good.

My friend and I stopped by late for a quick bite. Casual and fun atmosphere. Brittany was a one woman show behind the bar and she was fabulous. She was friendly, attenttive, and she went above and beyond to check in on us and make sure my mule was perfect. :) Food was great too, but the exceptional customer service made it even better. Thank you!! :)

Everyone should come and eat the CHEDDAR FRIES W/ BACON!! (DA BOMB). Great customer service and some good drinks. We will be back keep up the great work!!

The food is very good and the staff is pleasant. It is very easy to socially distance inside as I waited for a to-go order. The menu is a fun mix between South Texas and Louisiana food.

Stopped in for a quick beer. Didn't eat but the atmosphere was cool and staff was very friendly. Will grab a burger next time i head to the airport.

Amazing burgers and fries! It probably was the best burger I have had all year. The staff was great and the owners are super nice. Please go try this place out!

Awesome new place for us to grab a bite. The staff was very nice and professional, they offered excellent service and the food was made to perfection. The owner Pat was very cordial and made us feel welcomed and at home. Definitely recommend the excellent eatery. Tell them that the Navy couple sent you. The bartender made us her Guinea pigs for a new potential drink on their menu. Let me tell u, it was good!!! Jalapeño mango margaritas yes please! ?

Huge portion. The salad was crisp and fresh. Chicken tenders slightly over cooked but still good. Excellent service. Covid safe. Beautiful weather to sit outside on their spacious patio.

The layout abd atmosphere are awesome. Plus the food and drinks are great.
