My kids love Steak N shake... the portions are always perfect, because we tend to over eat everywhere we go. For under $20 a family of 4 can grab dinner and it is hot and served to us. Great for on the go and we can splurge and get shakes, and they never disappoint!

The food is good. The location and parking is good. A little pricey but that's the area it's in. Nothing really sets them apart from their close competitors unless you happen to get a personality plus server. If you get that type of server, it REALLY makes the difference and turns the experience from ho hum to fun and makes you want to come back. Without that sparkle, it's just another burger and ice cream place.

This place was horrible. I saw they just closed. The staff was rude. They were so lazy and didn't care. My food was so gross half of the time. Hopefully this company figured out they needed to clean house.

If you want hair in your food it's the perfect place to go. Me and my co-workers went for lunch and it was slow that day and when one of my co-workers got their food it had hair in it. Then our order was not correct when it came to the table. The shakes are still good but the food is now questionable.

First off, a lot of these reviews are lies. How do I know? I work here. And there's not a day that goes by that my manager doesn't get one or three calls (Sometimes people who are still in our parking lot) praising me for my customer service. Yes we are very short staffed, and a lot of us let the customers know before hand. We've never left a customer unattended for 20 minutes or more. You know why? The manager himself comes out his office and checks. If he sees someone sitting, without either a menu or a meal. He'll come tell us, oh, this person looks like they need help. So a lot of you, who are lying because you feel like you can. Need to stop. This is people livelihood you're messing with. Just admit that you're not a patient person and keep it like that. Don't lie about how long it took for you to get anything. That's really not okay.

One slice of cheese for two burger patties (what can I say, I like cheese). All my fries were about an inch and a half long. We ordered two iced teas, one sweet one unsweet and they didn't tell us which was which until we asked - turned out they were both sweet tea but we didn't have time to go back and fix it.

Took forever for someone to take our order, forever for the food to come, now here I sit waiting for whenever they feel like giving me the check while a huge line of people build up. One person is all over the place doing what she can while 3 maybe 4 people are in the kitchen just running their lips instead of working. When questioned about it “oh, we're understaffed†but as far as i've seen while here, is poor lady all over the place asking for help while these idiots keep the “not my job†thing going on. She even called for one of the people 4 times because he had people waiting in the cash register, just for him to shoo her off “I'm busy†and resume his very important conversation on basketball. Staff needs an overhaul, not just hire more people.

This would be a great place to eat out and enjoy if management would pay attention to what's really going on in this place. Good location in North Dallas but bad representation from employees at this location. I definitely wouldn't recommend to anyone
