Quaint little wine bar. It was my first time visiting and we happened to go on a night with live music, unbeknownst to us. The band was just starting as we wandered in for a table so there wasn’t much chance to chat with a host or server beforehand. The wine I found to be okay for the price, but we were quite surprised when the bill arrived and there was a $15pp cover charge added. There was no signage outside or inside, no note on the menu, or any mention by the server or owner that there was a service charge for the night. We paid it without any mention but it seems you should be informed if this ahead of time.

I live close by and would like to visit again as it is a nice atmosphere, it just feels almost dishonest to charge something like that without mentioning it. The prices of wine aren’t exactly cheap, so to add that on with no warning just doesn’t sit well. Certainly understand if that is the case on live music nights, just the secrecy of it is a problem.

It's sad to see how quickly Stoney's has gone downhill under new management. It still has some good music, but the service is terrible. My friends and I were there for more than two hours last night and never had an opportunity to order drinks or food. Nobody could call this a hospitality business.

Previous owners-Stoney & Diane were warm, friendly and knowledgeable about wine. They had a great venue. New owner (Shelley)- cold, condescending and ignorant about wine. Result- this former neighborhood gem is the most toxic wine establishment in Dallas. Spend your hard earned $$ somewhere that actually appreciates your patronage.

Owner was extremely rude after she overbooked. When my friend tried to talk to her about it, she threatened to kick us (50-60+ year old ladies) out!!!

Awesome little venue with lots to offer your small group for a wonderful night out. Shelley and Bob are wonderful hosts that make you feel at home.
Please take the opportunity to enjoy an amazing evening here, you won't regret it.

Great atmosphere. Live music was excellent. For those who like to enjoy a nice wine and listen to some good blues, jazz, etc., this is the place. Charcuterie plates were nicely done. Proprietors are attentive, available and take care of their customers!

We have stored our wine at Stonies for the past 5 years. They have always been amazing and have handled our wine collection exceptionally well. We are moving away and will no longer be storing wine at Stonies, but def recommend them for any wine storage needs.

Stoney and Diana have created a friendly and relaxing place to hear some great jazz. They have an extensive wine list, reasonably priced, and nice cheese boards, etc. Last night we got to hear Stoney sing a lovely version Moon River with a Henry Mancini tribute group.

Very laid back atmosphere. Carry’s a great line of wines at very reasonable prices. The real treat is the weekend nights of jazz. The schedule varies and it is best to get on their mailing list so you will be notified of upcoming music. The food is very simple like cheese plates. They do usually make a fruit pie which is always excellent.

Stoney's offers a wide variety of wines at reasonable prices, and Stoney can educate you regarding those of interest before you purchase, so that you can make informed choices. On most weekends, various jazz or blues performers entertain while you enjoy your chosen beverage (beer and soft drinks are available in addition to the large wine selection). The evening we attended, the entertainment was provided by Bill & Peggy Lohr, and we were able to have Peggy autograph her latest book, "Howdy, Hollywood" for us. The location is not a large venue, so plan ahead by making a reservation, and arriving early, as parking is somewhat limited.

Vegetarian options: A cheese plate with crackers is available.

Parking: Several venues in the area compete for limited parking, so the best plan is to arrive early, use Uber/Lyft, or plan to walk a block or two.

Kid-friendliness: This venue is not intended for children, so no child-menu is available.
