Went to Sue Ellen’s for the first time in over a year last night and was very disappointed! I was drinking Hennessy and lemonade and the drinks were small drinks, $19.50 a piece! Like that’s ridiculous! Can’t even afford to tip the bartenders bc the drinks are over priced! The DJ was awful! I remember when the music used to to be mixed to fit all walks of life! Thr r&b selections was cut down to a minimum even though there was mostly blacks in the crown! If you are going to charge 10 to get in and 20 dollar drinks, the least u could do is play good music! I was so sad that we left Kansas to go to Sue Ellen’s! It was a waste of time and we were having a way better time where were!

I don't know where they are getting these bartenders from, but they are not it. The drinks were not what we would ask for, seems more like they were guessing. The seating in the karaoke needs to be better cleaned and even updated.

I came from about 2 hours away to experience the Dallas Gay-borhood, and this was the number one place I wanted to see. The atmosphere is warm. Mary and the crew are extremely friendly, and I will miss them dearly. I hope to see them again soon. Special thank-you to Andrew and his friends who offered me a seat and talked with me for hours about anything and everything. I haven't really been to a bar before, and I don't think there was a better option for me than Sue Ellen's. Thank you again.

Such a great queer bar! Loved the vibes. Very welcoming and lots of space to decompress, have quiet spaces to chat and spaces to dance and let loose.
We saw 76th Street at Sue Ellen’s and loved the entire experience! Staff members were friendly. Plenty of space and different areas for seating, eating, drinking, dancing. Inside and outside options.
