Loved our experience at Sushi Bar! I loved the intimate dining experience and I was very pleasantly surprised at the freshness, quality and the flavor of each and every one of the nigiri pieces! Moving back to Dallas from Seattle, I've been craving good sushi and omakase experience and Sushi Bar definitely has been my favorite omakase in the DFW area! Service was so great as well, felt very intimate and the sushi chefs did such an amazing job of explaining every piece. It's also connected to a cute cocktail bar so you can grab some drinks before or after your meal! I highly recommend making your reservation here and trying this place out! Can't wait to go back again!

My husband and I reserved this omakase experience for our 3rd wedding anniversary. From the moment we walked in, all the way to the moment we walked out, there was nothing to complain about. Everyone was kind, polite, and helpful. The ambiance was dimly lit, classy, and decorated in a pleasant and clean way. We were greeted with a complimentary chai tea champagne (?); I also ordered an alcoholic cocktail that contained orange zest, and my husband ordered a beer; the cocktails were well balanced and yummy . The 3 chefs were detail-oriented and well spoken. They also had fun personalities and were great conversationalists as if they were companions sharing a meal with us. We were given a cucumber salad with a mixture of ginger and radish (?); I much prefer that to just regular ginger as a palate cleanser. I appreciated the fresh ingredients such as the imported fish and wasabi from Japan and caviar from Norway. They checked for food allergies multiples times before the meal started and we were always informed of the components of each sashimi piece before we dug in. Sashimi was fresh, delicious and well balance with the other combined ingredients. Each piece had multiples layers of flavor that elevated the overall experience. I cannot forget it mention the delicious dessert for the night: coconut milk shaved ice paired with ice cream from the parlor. We will definitely come back for another occasion!

If I could give a million stars I would! We have tried (I believe) all omakase experiences in Dallas and Sushi | Bar was BY FAR the winner! We were celebrating my husbands 40th birthday and Every staff member took time to wish him an happy birthday. Each bite hit every single taste note. I swear they counted the grains of fancy salt that went on each nigiri piece. It’s also by far the best bang for your buck. Chefs are personable and knowledgeable. It felt like a family dinner where everyone was having the best time. We always have a few courses that we don’t love but we couldn’t pick a least favorite because they were all perfection! First time I’ve ever liked uni let alone would eat more. After the amazing dinner they offer a cute little speak-easy vibe bar next door for an after dinner drink. LOVE! Parking was super easy and close by. Welcome drink was a nice touch. We booked our next visit with more friends while sitting with our after dinner drink and already have 2 handfuls of other very jealous friends and family who are anxiously awaiting their invite to this amazing experience!Dietary restrictions: All staff questioned about diner restrictions. We didn’t have any but noticed them leaving garnish off a few pieces to work with their patrons.Parking: Easy paid lot by phone within 10 steps of the entrance.

Wonderful experience. The food was incredible, but I was still a little hungry at the end... For the price, I'd expect to be stuffed, but maybe we just have large appetites? It is quite pricey, so would recommend for a special occasion. I appreciated they were able to accommodate my GF DF needs without sacrificing taste- and I didn't get sick afterwards, so they really did remain careful during preparation! The welcome drink was a nice touch and I liked that there were options for just one glass of saki or wine vs. having to buy a bottle or pairings.Dietary restrictions: Gluten and dairy

Wrote a review and was pleased to see that a representative from the restaurant wanted me to reach out to discuss my experience. Shockingly, they never returned an email. I'm appalled by the customer service here. This is the first restaurant I've given a 1 star too. Every other review I've done is 5. Disappointed.

Fantastic experience. You must dine here. This was more an event than a meal. Everything was well planned from the gin and cucumber welcome cocktail to the menu board and seating. The chef's were efficient and interactive. The somalier was knowledgeable. The fish was exceptional and the combination of flavors were well thought out. I will be back. My only criticism is that the uni was from a box and not live.

I came here for my birthday, and I couldn't think of a better place to go. The chefs were personable, the quality of sushi was amazing, and they accommodated dietary restrictions perfectly. This has been my favorite omakase experience in Dallas. It was the perfect amount of food, and every bite was quality.

One of the best sushi experiences I've ever had. Great flavor and even better service. The 3 chefs were amazing.

Was disappointed. I got served with 2 fish bones. I honestly was super excited to visit this place but it's totally ruined

Food was good but I’m mad about the automatic gratuity that they add on you towards the end without notice. I felt forced to pay that much in tax and extra tips. Felt

Decided to treat myself for the Lunar New Year - because I’m a Dragon - and I had an amazing experience! There’s parking and valet but I Uber’d to the location. Upon arrival, I was served a cocktail and chose add on for the sushi. The seating is very intimate and you’ll have a close view of the Chefs preparing the sushi. It’s 17-courses and I choose to add caviar with the wagyu. Additionally, I opted for the “Flower” Chardonnay and later the “Snow Shadow” sake. Each piece was made with care and delicious with every bite! The experience ended with a sweet cream desert and I enjoyed the lightness of it.I look forward to returning once they establish their Dallas menu and trying out the delicious flavors the Chef’s come up with!

I’ve had better sushi, but this was probably the best overall omakase experience I’ve ever had. Great sake pairing. It doesn’t get five stars only because of the automatic gratuity. Auto-grat is for large parties. And the worst part is that it was 22% with no advance warning anywhere. I am a heavy tipper by default, but to automatically put 22% on top of the entirety of a check for two people without any notice is effectively pulling a bait and switch on the price of the meal and is straight up greedy. This kind of practice is why tipping should be outlawed and this place should be ashamed.

A great addition to the omakase scene in Dallas. While the flavors are less traditional than say a Tatsu, Sushi Bar puts a unique spin that works in a different way. Glad to have another player in the game here to push and grow the entire scene. Price is pretty reasonable for a 17 course omakase as well. Will definitely come back and recommend to all.
