I had the following rolls and all of them hit the spot! Tornado, Dragon, Sweet Little Prince, and Firecracker rolls. If you like spicy and fried rolls go for the Tornado. So many different choices of rolls and the presentation was great for each. Also the outdoor patio was enjoyable ?

Went with a coworker on Friday night. Smaller place, but we wanted to sit at the bar anyways. Told the server we wanted spicy edamame and 5 special rolls but let the bartender choose. Told him we would eat anything and not to play it safe. The selection the brought was amazing each roll was unique and they all went well together. Highly recommend Sakana for good quality sushi.

Love the heart tuna tower and the heart nachos made by Paige and Tan!! Ask for Tan!! He will make it happen!!
The sushi at this restaurant was decent but nothing exceptional. The variety of rolls was okay, and the quality of the fish and appetizer was average - Fantastic Roll ($18) & Friend Calamari ($10). The service was prompt, but the ambiance lacked a bit of character. Overall, it's an average spot for a quick sushi fix compared to other DFW sushi spots. I might try again for their Happy Hour.

Sushi Sakana Uptown has an extremely nice ambiance with good service. Our waiter, Yubika, was very nice and helpful to our whole table the entire experience. The sushi was very fresh and came out quick. The only thing that I would possibly say is that certain sauces were slightly heavy and overtook the freshness a bit, but overall it was delightful.
