This place is one of the best sushi places in Dallas. I recommend the volcano roll and the dragon fly roll.

Not impressed. Very old smell in the restaurant. My table had bugs crawling on it. I would rate the sushi 4/10.

Owner and staff were very attentive. The rolls we ordered were so delicious, fresh and flavorful. We gave it a 4 star for atmosphere just because it’s not fancy inside or out but it’s the best sushi we’ve had in a long time!

Hard review to give , every restaurant deserves a chance , all I can say is that it is an overpriced restaurant in a good location, tough times for restaurants in Dallas downtown, will give more chances to improve very soon.paid $28 for a a bento box lunch time!

Great place to have delicious sushi. Came here alone and the server whom I believe was the owner or manager was the one who served me. He was very nice and attentive. The food was great and prices very reasonable. great calm atmosphere. I will for sure come back here if I ever visit

This restaurant is so excellent that it is no different from the food eaten in Japan and Korea. And the owner is so kind. I love this restaurant.

We went to Sushiya for supper, and I had a nice time there with my friend. The sushi and roll were wonderfully delicious and fresh. The chef and the staff's skills and warmth made for a wonderful evening. By coincidence, we had a fantastic supper here while walking the downtown area, and I would most definitely return to try all the rolls.

First time here for dinner tonight. Won't be our last! Great sushi. Super fresh fish, beautifully presented. Generous portions! You must try the Salmon Lovers dinner. They have the most unique sauce that compliments the salmon perfectly! Perfect for a date night, dinner with friends, or a group.

Sushiya is right in the heart of downtown Dallas, and a simple 15-minute walk from the KBH Convention Center.Cozy atmosphere with a bar area and a couple of TVs with sports playing. We went on a Saturday evening and there were plenty of tables around 6PM.Service was fast and friendly, and the food portioning was medium to generous with nicely decorated plates.Recommended if you're looking for a quick, quality sushi experience.

Mediocre food at best. I threw away my miso soup. Zero flavor. Not a good sign. $7 for egg rolls? Nothing special about those.I ordered a chirashi which is sashimi on rice. Restaurant obviously not smart enough to separately wrap wasabi which got everywhere. I specifically asked for no fake crab (kani). Big scoop of that. And a nasty glob of fish eggs on top. You don't mix wet ingredients with dry ones.By the time I got home everything was mixed together so no opportunity to remove the fish eggs kani and wasabi. Rice was wet and green!Called the restaurant. They were not willing to give a refund. Asked me to take another Uber back over from my hotel to bring back the sushi. Awful service. They ended up hanging up on me. You think a restaurant was such bad food but at least have the good grace to have good service. Specifically told them they could either refund me or see how much business they lose due to this review. So I hope you read it and never come here!

Last Friday night turned into an unexpected event when my family and friends stumbled upon Sushya, a cozy little spot that's a slice of Japan right in our neighborhood. It's casual and unassuming, but don't let that fool you—the food here is nothing short of amazing. With its traditional Japanese dishes like teriyaki and udon and an incredible selection of sushi, it was exactly the kind of place we'd been hoping to find for a relaxed evening out.As soon as we walked in, the vibe of the place made us feel welcome. The staff greeted us with big smiles, making us all feel at ease, including my two boys, aged 9 and 5, who were immediately taken with the colorful sushi plates on the counter. They were especially excited to try the sushi and sashimi, and let me tell you, they weren't disappointed. The flavors were just right for their adventurous young palates, which is no small feat! The food presentation at Sushya deserves a special mention. Each plate was like a little work of art, making us almost hesitant to disturb the arrangement. But of course, the temptation was too great, and I'm glad to report that the taste lived up to the presentation. It's clear that there's a lot of care put into not just the cooking, but also how it's served, which made our dining experience even more special. The atmosphere of the place was just the cherry on top. It's warm and inviting, with just the right amount of buzz to keep it lively without being overwhelming. My boys felt right at home, and there were plenty of options to keep their picky appetites satisfied, making our dinner there a stress-free experience for everyone. In all, dining at Sushya was an absolute delight. It's not just the food that will bring us back, but the whole experience of feeling like you're dining with family. Whether you're a long-time lover of Japanese cuisine or introducing it to your kids for the first time, Sushya is the perfect spot. If you're looking for delicious food, a friendly environment, and a place that's as much a hit with the kids as it is with adults, then you've got to check out Sushya.
