Talk about stepping away from Dallas and into a small corner of New Orleans. The smell of Cajun home cooking hits you right when you walk in the door. They have great specials right now for crawdad season. I recommend getting one of the specials. The po'boys are stuffed and filling. Walked in around 3:30 p.m. on a Sunday and instantly felt the warmth of this family-run spot. There were already two other customers ordering fried fish and shrimp—they got a massive to-go platter and were so genuinely thankful and excited. They got served super quickly, and you could tell they were thrilled with the food.

GREAT food! As someone who is from also from Louisiana (southwest Louisiana), I can confirm that Swamp Cafe exceeds my expectations. Great food & excellent service. I’ve been here 3 times already within the past week.
