I went for the first time last week. The restaurant was beautiful. The server was incredibly friendly and attentive. The food tasted phenomenal. The only problem I had is that it seemed that windex might have been sprayed in my food by mistake. I could taste hints every few bites. I actually ate it anyways because I assumed that there was no chance that windex could be in my food. I paid $50+ for the meal and left without making a fuss. It wasn’t until I got home that it was explained to me that I had tasted ammonia, not windex, which is a harmless but common occurrence as fish starts to age. I called and spoke with some man, representing himself as the owner with the intention of telling him so that he wouldn’t serve it to other patrons. I didn’t want a refund or any compensation. Not only did he disagree and argue with me, he did not apologize and eventually just hung up the phone. Saying that “he just got the fish yesterday.” It was Chilean Sea Bass. Satisfaction is not guaranteed there.I would certainly have gone back because the food was very well seasoned and cooked, but his response to my feedback will prevent me from spending any more money there. Potato creme soup was the best I’ve ever had by the way.

Service was good and the place was a little old but cosy. The food was ok but not the best for the price in my opinion. The raviolis were quite expensive for a small quantity of them but it was good.

Sweet Basil is a special place for our family for the last 32 years. We celebrated my Daughter's high school graduation there, and her son's high school graduation there. It just feels like home...

What a great restaurant! Food was delicious, the chicken was juicy and well made and the mushroom soup was a great appetizer. The service was fantastic, the waitress was pleasant and attentive and the manager was kind. Atmosphere was quiet and relaxing with calming music and the pricing was good. I will be coming back here, thank you!

Proud owner, my wife cried because of his behavior. She was already going through postpartum symptoms and his behavior through her off.

I wanted to like this place so badly. The reviews are all good and we live right by it, so we finally decided to try it.I want to start by saying that the service and the atmosphere was wonderful. The restaurants decor made me feel at home (as someone who grew up in an Italian household) and our waiter was incredibly nice/prompt. I had absolutely no issues with the service here tonight. My issue was with the food. For an appetizer, our bruschetta was pretty good. Our entrees, the manicotti and the bolognese, were not unfortunately. Our waiter brought them out suspiciously quick. The manicotti was, and I say this as politely as I can, the worst I have ever had in my life. It was not baked. The ricotta was chewy and watery, and the manicotti came prepared almost like bare tamales. There was no cheese or garnish on the plate, just bare manicotti noodles and red sauce. It tasted like it had been frozen for quite some time. It was inedible. The bolognese was edible, but it was not appealing or appetizing. It, respectfully, looked like throw up on a plate. Partner could not get down more than three bites.I wanted to say that our waiter was so so nice and tried to replace my meal, but we declined. The waiter and owner were very kind and took the manicotti off of our bill, even after we offered to still pay for it. As I said, the service was wonderful and I am so sad that we didn’t enjoy the food more. All in all, the appetizers were alright, the service and atmosphere was wonderful, but our entrees were disgusting. We probably won’t be back, but I do sincerely wish this place all the best.

We ordered pasta for pick up- food was great and was ready quick! The staff I talked to(bartender and owner) were so friendly and helpful. We will be back soon to dine-in!

So. This place gives me complicated feelings. Food was... Good. Lasagna came out in less than 10 minutes, and tasted like it was from frozen. Idk if it actually was, but 10 minutes or less is pretty fast. "Oven fresh" bread was just barely above room temp when it came out. Serving sizes are small, but the price was too. So I guess I should have expected that. Salad was fresh and well put together, but again, a small serving. House dressing was good enough, but nothing I'll remember in an hour from now. The service was the saving grace here. Absolutely top notch service. Overall, for the price of a large combo at jack in the box, I got a salad, and lasagna with fresh bread. No complaints, just nothing to "write home about". Atmosphere is also rather great.
