Hadn't been in years and decided to go. I enjoyed it the only thing is the meatloaf was too much beef too thick and not moist, two thin slices of meatloaf would have been better. So I didn't eat the meatloaf but the macaroni, cabbage and yams were so good. I'll start getting veggie plates

Great food, soul food lovers, grab a bite of those turkey wings and dressing, you'll fight over the sweet potato pie.
Food isn’t bad but at some point you have to elevate. Containers too weak and the food melts container, no parking lot, rude old men lacking customer service, no website, no phone service, no consistent menu, inside the restaurant looks like Ryan’s in 1995….at some point there needs to be an elevation. Although good food; I can’t come back until they get better containers to hold the food. I was eating dressing and the dressing was so hot it melted the styrofoam. Black spots gotta start paying the cost to be the boss because I know the money coming in.

Between planned trips and just “get on the road and go’s” we come to Dallas A LOT and we NEVER EVER miss a chance to stop by Sweet Georgia Brown’s to grab some food to take back with us. The guys serving are always so personable, hilarious and engaging (they remember us EVERY TIME), and the food is delicious!! Our favorites are the smothered turkey wings, broccoli casserole, yams, Mac & Cheese, greens, and mashed potatoes gravy, and pineapple upside down cake. My personal favorite is the cabbage, ribs, and sausage. I ALWAYS highly recommend SGB’s to everyone!!!

This place food is better than ever . Customer service from food servers is entertaining and pleasant. But I just recommend this as a self owned business that have grown from the community why have Two tip jars . There’s a tip jar at the cashier checkout and at your bagging area (your son ) Why when your plates are $36.00 . Then he really don’t want to give condiments if he’s Not tipped. Not a good look!!!
But food is ok
Parking: Parking is free but need to Put cement in holes and unlevel area

There were 5 servers and a bagger, 2 of the servers had very nasty attitude and the bagger snatched the bag out of my hands for no reason when I thought I was helping him out.
Ribs- not smoked, dry and the top was not eatable
Pork chop- dry and some parts were not eatable
Macaroni and cheese- too much milk and eggs and not enough cheese, no texture, gummy and looked like scrambled eggs.
Sweet potatoes- straight out the can with added sugar
Cabbage- not tender enough, there was a lot of hard pieces
Dressing- too sweet for me but seasoned Perfectly.
Potato salad- needed salt and pepper.
Cake- straight out of the box for $8 a slice
This is my first time doing a food review.
The food was not worth a 3hrs drive there and back and it was definitely not worth $172 + Tip.
This was my plate from 2 days ago, I put it in my refrigerator hoping that someone would eat it. It’s going in the trash now.

I love me some sweet Georgia brown. Everytime I am in Texas I make sure I stop by. They give you such large portions you can have some for lunch and dinner. The food is seasoned so well. My favorite is the chicken and dressing.
