Childhood favorite & hood staple. while i was thinking of recommendations for a friend traveling down, i immediately thought of this place. i've out of tx for years, and even then, this place still never left my mind.
The atmosphere is very homely, the staff is very polite and receptive, & the overall vibe is, especially on spring/summer nights, feels like you're at a neighborhood carne asada (miss those). the food is about as authentic as it gets, and...

I always buy the dish of 3 gorditas with rice and beans, I order 2 of roast beef with fixiles and 1 of slices with cheese, they are delicious, not to mention, the fixiles are very tasty😋😋😋
