Taqueria La Providencia is a cozy, cash-only spot with limited seating. The handmade tortillas and Gorditas are highly recommended, especially for those from Leon Guanajuato. The chicken could use more seasoning, but the posole and Menudo are tasty choices. The Gorditas are a standout, and the authentic Mexican atmosphere, complete with mismatched plates and 2019 calendars, makes diners feel right at home. Despite delicious food, some diners found the restaurant uncomfortably cold and the food quickly got cold. However, for out-of-towners like a couple from Tulsa celebrating their anniversary, the phenomenal Menudo and flavorful Milanesa torta made the visit to Taqueria La Providencia a hidden treasure worth the drive.
