Never disappoints. Great sashimi, sushi, tempura, and cocktails. Loved the pumpkin soup, river rock crabs, sashimi mackerel
We had a beautiful time here celebrating a family birthday. We reserved the tatami table since we had 5 people. All the plates are small and we enjoyed sharing everything. Food was delicious and prepared with care. Loved the seasonal sweet potato. Service is exceptional.
We had a wonderful experience! The servers were so friendly and accommodating! Gluten-free friendly!
Service needs improvement.
Very good food and service
Beautiful hidden gem Japanese restaurant. Food and service were top-notch!
I really wanted to knock my girlfriend's birthday out of the park and I read online that Tei Tei was the same quality and tier as Uchi. So I made reservation a month in advance and specifically stated "Its a very special birthday". When we got there, we were originally seated right next to a large family, even through the restaurant was mostly empty. We requested to be moved to a more quiet area and the wait staff obliged(but why not do that from the get go considering I said it was my girlfriend's birthday??). We placed our order right away, but the food took around 35–40 minutes to arrive. This seemed unusual, especially considering it was a Tuesday night and the restaurant wasn't particularly busy. We started with the Chilean Seabass and the Baby Yellowtail Carpaccio—both of which were fantastic. Then we ordered the Rainbow Roll and the Sashimi Sampler, which took another 30 minutes to reach our table. My girlfriend noted that portion sizes were much smaller and the lightening was much less intimate than it was 2 years ago. Throughout the evening, no manager came by to acknowledge the long wait, update us on our order, or even wish my girlfriend a happy birthday. I'm not someone who expects freebies or fanfare—but when you're paying premium prices, you expect a premium experience, and the service felt inattentive and impersonal. To wrap up the evening, we stopped by Barcelona Wine Bar across the street for a couple of drinks. I casually mentioned to the bartender that we were celebrating a birthday, and without hesitation, he offered us two complimentary drinks. It was a small gesture, but it made a big impact—it showed thoughtfulness and hospitality that was noticeably missing from our dinner at Tei Tei.
Tei Tei feels as close to an authentic Japanese experience as you can get in Dallas. The entry through the rectangular portal down the stone path and into the restaurant where you’re immediately greeted with the team grilling up fish and vegetables is a great start to your dinner. The sushi was fresh, the wagyu melted in my mouth, and the peppers and salad were all delicious. The panko crusted oysters were a slight disappointment. They lacked flavor and the overall texture didn’t appeal to me. The service was attentive and efficient. Overall, I highly recommend Tei Tei!
My family and I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant, and we had a truly wonderful time.
Our son, who is a frequent patron, highly recommended it, and his recommendation was spot on.
The food was absolutely delicious, and the drinks were equally impressive.
We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our meal. We will definitely be returning to this establishment in the future.
The food is delicious in the unique Japanese restaurant. They do rush you in and out which makes it hard to relax at the table. The food is also very expensive. I think an artichoke was around $18. Be sure to make a reservation for a special occasion because the restaurant is small.

Amazing service and great atmosphere. Sitting at the bar is where it's at so you can see the grilling! The nigiri/sushi pieces were so fresh and thick slices. The scallop ones were my favorite. Definitely go with a few people so you can try all the different things. The wagyu on the hot rock is worth the hype
TeiTei never disappoints — particularly the chefs and our fav waiter, Yanni. She is awesome!
Spanish Mackerel is an incredible experience! The shiso leaf is the highlight for me and the quality and freshness of the fish is top notch!
The DJ is the reason I stared coming to Tei Tei The food and bar are why I love coming back!
It was a great experience. The place is very well decorated. If you sit in the bar (or close to it) you will see the cooks making your food. The prices are super accesible for a place like this and the food tastes excellent. I ate the frog legs for the first time, and they were amazing. My wife ate salmon sushi and was delight with the softness of the salmon. Totally recommend for Japanese food lovers.
