The food was great but unfortunately Octapus appeared to be cooked near the black snapper we ordered. The restaurant had been informed one of my guests has a shellfish allergy. The waitress told us there was no cross contamination and did not understand that Octapus which is a mollusk is also shellfish. My guest could not eat it and risk an allergic reaction. If you google ocatapus, you'll see that it is indeed a type of shellfish. She didn't believe us. It was the last thing served so she didn't order anything else to have for herself. Very disappointed.

Great service, very attentive server who answered all questions. We ordered Shishito peppers, sawagani, miso soup, the spicy lobster roll and yellowtail, fresh salmon, smoked salmon and bluefin tuna sushi, a whole bonito and octopus. We also ordered sake, a couple of cocktails and japanese beer. Every dish was delicious. Best of all, a quiet spot that allows for easy conversation. One of our favorite places in Dallas.

We went there to celebrate a friend's birthday. They chose the restaurant. Storm in a teacup to me. After spending about $225 we still left hungry. Fancy, tiny little food. It was meh in my opinion. Although their sushi roles were good.

One of Dallas's best kept secrets. I am a proud customer since they opened in 1998 and nothing compares to the quality and service of Tei Tei. This is a true taste and experience of Japan. A few of my favorites are the mini fried crabs, bluefin tuna toro, cornflake shrimp, lamb chops, miso sea bass, foil wrapped sea bass, and washu steak. I love a peachy lychee martini and the panna cotta or matcha ice cream to end the night. If you're looking for an incredible authentic Japanese experience then this is the place you're searching for. Every time I leave, I cannot wait until the next time I get to come back. Thank you Tei Tei for always being so incredible.

I can't believe we'd never been here before. The whole experience was fantastic. The service was great, sitting at the sushi bar was so fun to watch the chefs work, and EVERY dish was amazing, even the ones we weren't sure about before ordering. The artichokes on the robata are a must.
