Texas Best Smokehouse

Food is pretty awful. Not good quality as even compared to Pappas BBQ or SpringCreek. Rudys is even above this place. I've eaten there twice. Same results so it wasnt just 1 bad cook. They do have a decent selection of veggies and so forth. If you're starving you could eat there and be happy. But they really need to bring in a local American chef to fix the recipes and food.

I was craving a baked potato, pulled up and there was none. Until the guy went to the back and found one that was actually done. 10/10 experience. The girls there are also great and kind! I hope they know they made my night!

Had the Meatloaf. Didnt really enjoy it. Banana pudding was good. Coke out of the fountain was bad. Portions were relatively small. Potatoes were a little hard to eat. Sonics ice cream machine was down due to being inspected by the Health Department. So not a good visit. Also Truck drivers are only allowed to park 1 hr. Due to all this wont go here except to just fuel and the leave. Good one Texas Best Smokehouse you really know how to treat Truck Drivers.

Looks good...emphasis on looks... Meat was dry....sides tasted better...lady gave me samples of the sides...wish I got samples of the meat so I wouldn't order it. I went there to try the BBQ and it was a complete let down.

Exceptional, authentic Texas BBQ — the real deal! The brisket was melt-in-your-mouth tender with that perfect smoky bark, and the ribs slid right off the bone. Every bite was loaded with that slow-smoked flavor only true pitmasters can achieve. The sides were just as good — creamy mac and cheese, tangy slaw, and classic baked beans. Great folks, great service, and true Texas flavor. Highly recommended!

This lil truck stop is cool! The only bad things is that the parking lot is very small and the prices are pretty high but other than that, the food is great and the store has a lot of cool stuff!

Guys behind the counter weren’t real friendly. Seemed like they’d rather be anywhere else but they were quick and got us our food. They weren’t rude or anything.
The cornbread was sweet and so so good! The Mac n cheese was worth the money for the full sized one! The green beans were good, the cheesey potatoes had no flavor, the chopped potatoes were too spicy to eat, and the bbq sauce was okay but not our favorite. The meats were good but could have had more flavor and there was a bit of fat on the brisket and ribs but they were still really good!

Service was amazing. Food was good as well, price doesn’t match portions; maybe think about adding a little more meat to the portions for the prices they’re charging unless I was skimped on my meat... Brisket was tender and sausage was cooked very well. The bbq beans could use a little more time in the cooker and some sugar to help soften them and mashed potatoes do need some garlic powder to help balance the flavor. Otherwise the food was great will be visiting again in near future.
