The Artisan Craft Kitchen

The Artisan Craft Kitchen was outstanding! Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented with high-quality ingredients. The portions were generous, the service was friendly and attentive, and the modern, welcoming atmosphere made the experience even better. A fantastic place we'll happily visit again.

Everyone here is welcoming and they'll even help you decide on what to try. It's a new favorite! There isn't a lot of seating areas, but there's places around to have a picnic.

This is a cool venue but there are limitations in Summer months. For a 6 pm show there is a direct sun glare and reflection off the glass building that shines down on sitting area. There are trees but not everyone was protected. They need a bunch of fans and misting devices for this location to be feasible in Summer at this time. Music was good but too short and not worth paying premium prices. Do the later time in Summer months. We did not eat, food smelled and looked good but too hot to eat. There is a walk up bar so there is not any table service.

Unfortunately, The Artisan in Dallas misses the mark, starting from the moment you arrive. There’s no valet parking—not at the restaurant, not at the Stella Hotel, and not at the Ellie Hotel. Be prepared to park across the street and shell out \$15 just to get started. For a place positioning itself as upscale, this sets a frustrating tone from the beginning.

On the semi rooftop, things don’t improve much. The drinks are on par with what you’d find at a dive bar—not in a good way. Honestly, if I wanted that kind of cocktail experience, I’d rather be at an actual dive bar with character and better prices. The food is similarly underwhelming; it doesn’t justify the ambiance or the prices.

The one redeeming quality is the view—yes, it’s beautiful. But if you’re going to spend the money for a great view and a quality experience, skip The Artisan and head to Saint Rocco’s instead. They know how to deliver both.
