Unfortunately, The Artisan in Dallas misses the mark, starting from the moment you arrive. There’s no valet parking—not at the restaurant, not at the Stella Hotel, and not at the Ellie Hotel. Be prepared to park across the street and shell out \$15 just to get started. For a place positioning itself as upscale, this sets a frustrating tone from the beginning.
On the semi rooftop, things don’t improve much. The drinks are on par with what you’d find at a dive bar—not in a good way. Honestly, if I wanted that kind of cocktail experience, I’d rather be at an actual dive bar with character and better prices. The food is similarly underwhelming; it doesn’t justify the ambiance or the prices.
The one redeeming quality is the view—yes, it’s beautiful. But if you’re going to spend the money for a great view and a quality experience, skip The Artisan and head to Saint Rocco’s instead. They know how to deliver both.
The staff is awesome!

Amazing event space- attended a wedding here and was blown away by the views as well as the venue capabilities for such a prime location.
Hard to beat the downtown ambiance for any event space.

I had a fabulous time at lunch Tuesday at The Artisan! I was able to order the portobello sandwich without cheese and with regular pesto as a vegan option and it was delicious. The staff was also incredibly courteous and helpful with making sure all of the ingredients in my meal did not contain any animal products. Thank you Artisan for a great time and a beautiful ambiance as I ate my lunch on the upstairs patio overlooking the Arts District!
Dietary restrictions: Vegan options available.

I’m a regular customer at this spot for i work in the the same local complex as the KPMG building, the Hall Arts Hotel, and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. Highly disappointed and disgusted with you alls employee, Jennifer who works here. I have a fellow work colleague that patrons here and we work for the same company, she applies the 10% discount to his orders without hassle, but when it comes to me she wants me, a patron that she sees regularly, to show proof that I’m an employee. In fact that not only did she have an attitude, and begrudgingly give the discount-she actually charged me MORE for the same item, a croissant, that my colleague just had purchased a few minutes before me, so she canceled out the discount anyway. She even offered to heat my order up but end up not doing it anyway. As a frequent visitor this deplorable service is not something I’m used to, and it’s a shock coming from this particular establishment. She seems to pick and choose who to provide good service for and who to do bad business with. As someone who is highly skilled in providing exceptional consistent customer service, our hotel frequently gives business your way not only as employees, but also when it comes to recommending you to our guests, and the weddings that we book that then use your venues. She’s a horrible representation of your business and needs to go back to the drawing board to be trained regarding giving consistent service to all across the board. Not to whomever she thinks deserves it and who doesn’t.
Friendly staff as always. Greek dressing could use a little more “zip” for my tastes.
