I used to love this place but it's gone downhill. The crispy guacamole tacos were lacking any flavor and I only got 2 full tacos, 1 taco had barely remnants of the filling in it. The vegetarian options are overall lacking as well. I'm disappointed in how bad this restaurant has gotten.

My co-workers and I visited this location at Clyde Warren Park because we were at a training across the street. Boy, were we disappointed! The low point was the deplorable customer service from our waitress, whose rude and inattentive demeanor created an unwelcoming atmosphere. To compound matters, observing her differential treatment of other tables raised concerns about the fairness of the service. We had long waits in between being seated, ordering drinks, and the arrival of our food. When we received our food, it was lukewarm at best. Despite our perseverance, the overall experience was not a good one. Unfortunately, the ordeal extended to obtaining our checks, turning what should have been enjoyable into a thoroughly disappointing affair. I would not recommend this location.

the food wasn't nearly what we expected for being in texas and having the recommendations that we had. the margaritas were wonderful and the service was fantastic.

Mi Cocina is a regular stop for me and my partner. One good reasons to go is the staff, especially Maria Garcia. She always greets us with a smile and makes us feel so welcomed. She's a big part on why we go back so often.

Overall, this restaurant was very good. All of the food tasted fresh and was not very greasy. The menu had a variety to choose from, and the tacos were flavorful, and they gave a decent amount of meat in each of the tacos. All of the drinks were delicious and paired well with the Tex-Mex cuisine. We had a great time eating here.

if i could put zero stars i would. this was such an awful experience.. i'm very upset because my friends and i had high hopes. the service was TERRIBLE, because our server was not very understanding of what we were asking and he got our order wrong. we asked if the fajitas if it would feed 3 and he said yes but there was one singular chicken breast on the plate. i had to beg for water and only got it filled twice within the 1 hour and a half of being there. the checks were all wrong and he charged two of us full price for the meal we split and one of us $7 only. also one the hostess was laughing at us when we walked in and laughed at us when we asked for 3 sides of rice and beans for the 3 of us... just so many things happened that will make me never come back to this restaurant. i do not recommend.

Came for lunch yesterday because I was excited to see vegan options on the menu. I ended up ordering the tacos da papas and was pretty disappointed. I'm not a fan of corn tortillas because they just fall apart. The potatoes were too heavy for the tortillas thereby just compounding the issue. The mushrooms seemed like just sliced white button mushrooms and the spinach felt like it was dumped out of a bag. There was some bright red sauce splashed everywhere to finish it off. I ended up having to just pick it apart with a fork/knife. Not great. You would think a place with such a great downtown location with such exposure right at the park would be more on point but this was just not appetizing. The ambience is nice, service is good, and the chips/salsa are fantastic, though. I might come here for a quick bite/drink but would probably stick with Miriam Cocina across the street if I was really hungry.

I came to visit mi Cocina for the first time and the food is amazing! This is going to be our new spot. Maria Garcia took great care of us, she's very attentive with great attitude, she has a unique personality. She recommended the Double Barrel with the smoky tequila which was my fave!! Great location and atmosphere. Thank you for my best experience ever.

Went to Mi Cocina on. A Saturday night before catching a musical & the waiter was on point & made sure we left in plenty of time to make our show. The mambo taxi was delicious with tajin on the rim!
