Some of the food--especially the special lobster ravioli--was marvelous, but some was less so. The mushroom dish seemed, at first, very special, but it became almost overwhelmingly salty. (I loved the first bite.) We discussed two other pasta dishes and went with what had been our first choice (and it was delicious), but the waiter brought both of these two dishes. My husband didn't want to say anything, so we ate some of the second (our third) pasta dish. It would be nice if bread would also be served, because the broth of the lobster ravioli was delicious! One criticism of the ambiance: We had to shout to hear each other. It seemed that everyone was shouting and the noise level was deafening. Nonetheless, we would love to try more of your delicious food combinations. Perhaps, not on a Saturday night?
Service was excellent and the food was outstanding. The place has a cool vibe, but was very noisy. Could not hear the person sitting 2 feet away from me. They did make amends for the excessive noise. Would go back and give them a second chance.
Food it self was really poor..we tried Beets, Focaccia bread with and lobster ravioli. I don't know how you make every dish really bad, Bread too greasy, Beets too much vinegar (over whelming), Ravioli not prepared well. I had really high expectation. My friend from Dallas suggested this place. I was so disappointed that I didn't want to even go to there speakeasy. If I wanted poor quality food, I would go to a chain or fast food not at The Charles!
It was our first time at The Charles, highly recommended by daniel_eating_dallas and coworker. The food was amazing, Charles visited our table and talked to us for a bit. We got to visit the Speakeasy, which we also enjoyed. We cannot wait to return.
We had the Chef's Experience at The Charles and it was nothing short of exceptional. From start to finish, the service was warm, attentive, and perfectly paced. Each course felt thoughtfully curated, balancing creativity with bold, memorable flavors. The presentation was stunning, every plate arriving like a piece of art, and the flavors lived up to the visuals. What really stood out was the way the chef's menu took us on a journey, highlighting both signature dishes and surprising pairings that we wouldn't have chosen ourselves but absolutely loved. The staff explained each dish with genuine enthusiasm and deep knowledge, making the experience feel personal and immersive. It's rare to find a place where food, service, and atmosphere all come together at such a high level, but The Charles absolutely delivers. This was more than just dinner, it was an experience we'll be talking about for a long time.
From the moment we arrived, the staff made the experience exceptional — friendly, attentive, and full of great recommendations. The grilled king salmon was absolutely divine — perfectly cooked and seasoned to highlight its natural flavor. The Wagyu Tomahawk Ribeye was also a standout: juicy, tender, and expertly prepared. Every dish reflected care and quality. Overall, a fantastic dining experience that I'd happily return to.
Restaurant week menu tastes great. Portion size is smaller than regular menu but just right for us because we don't want too much food. They offered an extra appetizer for my celebration. The cheese and olive gift is also really yummy. All in all, loved the food.
The food was really good. Portions are not huge but just enough. The SERVICE IS AMAZING!!! From the managers to the wait staff. Shout out to Wynter a fabulous waitress. And stop by the lounge that has a “Speak Easy” lively vibe
I was visiting my family in Dallas when they surprised me with an amazing birthday dinner at The Charles! The service was exceptional, and the delicious cuisine was unlike anything else I’ve experienced. This place is a must visit for anyone who appreciates a wel thought out menu featuring savory ingredients that create an incredible experience for your taste buds.

We had a wonderful first experience at The Charles. The service in particular was outstanding, from greeting to departure, especially our primary server (Todd?). Servers took the time to know our names and understand this was our first visit, making a connection without hovering. The Restaurant Week menu was solid - not one dish was a miss. The summer melon salad was a standout as was, surprisingly for this non-dessert-eater, the olive oil cake, a sweet small serving perfectly accented by lime zest, creme fraiche, and raspberry. The only slight criticism on food is I felt the bucatini was bit over salted. We will definitely return to The Charles

Jill did an outstanding job as our server. Chad suggested an incredible Italian wine. Richard was helpful to us as well! Everyone greeted us and wished my husband Happy Birthday. The food was amazing as always! We will be back😊 and bring more friends with us each time.
Everything was delish and loved the atmosphere. Only complaint is that the appetizers made it to the table before the wine did.
Once again, The Charles knocks it out of the park. The service is amazing. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and ready to make the night great! The kitchen doesn't miss. Get the charred octopus, order a focaccia and enjoy drinks and the ambience. Declan was fantastic behind the bar and a quick trip to Bar Charles is always worth it.
My recent dinner at The Charles was an absolutely incredible experience from start to finish. The service was impeccable, beginning with the super-friendly valet who greeted us with a big smile.
Our waiter, Todd, was fantastic. He was so knowledgeable about the menu and had great recommendations. The food was just out of this world. We started with the Caesar alla Charles, which was delicious, and then moved on to the main courses. The Mishima Reserva picanha was cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth, and the spicy creste di gallo pasta had the perfect amount of heat. For dessert, the dark chocolate tiramisu was rich and decadent—a perfect end to the meal.
After we finished eating, Todd gave us a surprise tour of a secret back bar, which was such a cool experience! We got to meet the bartender, Fatima, who made us some amazing cocktails. The Charles is more than just a restaurant; it's a whole night out. I can't recommend it enough!
