Some of the food--especially the special lobster ravioli--was marvelous, but some was less so. The mushroom dish seemed, at first, very special, but it became almost overwhelmingly salty. (I loved the first bite.) We discussed two other pasta dishes and went with what had been our first choice (and it was delicious), but the waiter brought both of these two dishes. My husband didn't want to say anything, so we ate some of the second (our third) pasta dish. It would be nice...
Service was excellent and the food was outstanding. The place has a cool vibe, but was very noisy. Could not hear the person sitting 2 feet away from me. They did make amends for the excessive noise. Would go back and give them a second chance.
It was our first time at The Charles, highly recommended by daniel_eating_dallas and coworker. The food was amazing, Charles visited our table and talked to us for a bit. We got to visit the Speakeasy, which we also enjoyed. We cannot wait to return.
