I recently had the pleasure of dining at Old Warsaw French Steakhouse, one of the most iconic and long-established restaurants in Dallas, and the experience truly lived up to its outstanding reputation. From the moment I arrived, I could immediately sense why this restaurant has long been regarded as a symbol of premier dining in Dallas. The atmosphere, the service, and the quality of the food all came together to create an evening that felt both elegant and memorable.
One of the highlights of my visit was undoubtedly the steak. The quality of the meat was exceptional, and it was prepared with remarkable skill and precision. The steak arrived beautifully cooked, with a perfect sear on the outside that locked in a deep, rich flavor. Each bite was incredibly tender, juicy, and full of flavor, clearly reflecting the restaurant’s commitment to serving only the finest cuts of beef. It was one of those meals where you can truly appreciate the craftsmanship that goes into preparing a classic steakhouse dish.
What made the evening even more special was the level of customer service. The staff provided absolutely attentive and undivided service throughout my visit. They were professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming, ensuring that every detail of the meal was just right. From thoughtful recommendations to perfect timing between courses, the service felt polished yet personal, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
The atmosphere of the restaurant added another layer of charm to the evening. The dining room is elegant and refined, creating a comfortable yet sophisticated setting that makes guests feel relaxed while still experiencing something truly special. Throughout dinner, the gentle sound of live violin and piano music filled the room, adding a warm and graceful touch to the ambiance. The music created a wonderful backdrop that elevated the entire dining experience and made the evening feel even more memorable.
By the end of the night, it was easy to see why Warsaw French Steakhouse continues to receive such high ratings and strong praise from diners. My visit was truly exceptional, combining outstanding cuisine, impeccable service, and a beautiful atmosphere. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a remarkable dining destination in Dallas. It is truly a place where fine dining, tradition, and hospitality come together to create a wonderful and unforgettable experience.

Dont believe the good reviews! Positive reviews must be bots or from years ago. Worst resturaunt I've been too in my life. The food was oversalted sometimes and unseasoned for other dishes. This place may have been great once, but something bad has happened in the kitchen. No one was eating there on a Friday night, our whole party was dissatisfied. I've never spent this much money on food and been so disappointed. Our deserts came out of a walmart box im sure. Only good thing was the piano player, but him and the other staff seemed to know the place sucked. I cant help but feel bad for them and how depressed the whole team was.

The Old Warsaw is a true Dallas classic. The atmosphere is incredibly intimate and low-noise, with soft piano music, candlelit tables, and a timeless, romantic feel that’s perfect for a quiet night out.
The food is excellent! From the lobster bisque and escargot to perfectly cooked steaks and fresh seafood. Everything is high quality and thoughtfully prepared.
Service is polished and attentive, making the entire experience feel special without being overwhelming.
Perfect for date nights, anniversaries, or any occasion where you want a calm, refined dining experience. Definitely a place you’ll come back to.

I had heard wonderful things about Old Warsaw, and it was all true. Fine dining in a warm European setting, attentive staff, and beautiful music on the grand piano. We look forward to returning to try more of the menu.
COMPLETE DISASTER. My wife suffers from the results of a wedge type spinal compression fracture and a hip replacement that did not go well. Access is a real problem when I take her out which is what I wanted to do for her on Christmas Day. We expected a valet. There was none. Instead we entered a down ramp to a small underground garage. There are apartments above the restaurant so parking is for them. There is no restaurant signage in the garage and we saw no handicapped parking. My wife wanted to leave but I insisted we look around. We found an elevator marked for residents. I said let's try it. It did take us up to the restaurant. The host was less than polite. I complained to him about our access problems. HE THOSE CHOSE TO RIDICULE MY WIFE AND I WENT TO WAR. He said he was denying us service so we left. We actually went to another house where we were known and the manager accommodated us even though he was extremely busy. We had a great meal and are going back on New Years. So if you want to go to a place where the host picks on a 75 year old woman with real mobility issues then go to Old Warsaw.
My MIL ate here on the 50's and she still loves it. You can still find popular things from that time like lobster thermador, escargot (best I've ever had), Black Forest cake and Beef Wellington.
This is a wonderful place to spend a lovely time with food during a great atmosphere. The welcoming is fantastic, the staff is very nice and professional. Having a great dinner and Lesson playing great piano is just simply marvelous. Thank you to all the members of the restaurant. Happy holidays. Merry Christmas 🎄. Thank again we enjoyed so much . Superbe 👍
1-Star Review: Extremely Disappointing Experience – Do Not Recommend
We had high hopes for The Old Warsaw, given its long history as a Dallas institution, but our recent visit was a complete letdown from start to finish.
Parking was a nightmare – no valet service, and the lot was so tight it was nearly impossible to maneuver without risking damage to our car.
We arrived on time for our reservation, but no one greeted or seated us. We stood around waiting until someone finally approached, and the greeting lacked any warmth or hospitality – it felt cold and unwelcoming.
The seating arrangement was odd, with tables facing a piano that had no pianist playing, making the setup feel pointless and awkward. The bar area was strangely empty and appeared unattended the entire time.
Our server came to take drink orders but provided no drink menu. When one eventually arrived, it was a cheap, worn-out laminated sheet that looked like it had seen better decades. Worse, there was no proper wine list – we had no idea what wines were available or their prices, which is unacceptable for a place billing itself as fine dining.
The real breaking point: We waited over an hour for our appetizers with no updates or apologies. When we finally told the manager we were leaving, his response was a rude “ok, just go” – no effort to apologize, resolve the issue, or even speak with us. Absolutely shocking lack of care.
We left hungry and frustrated after wasting our evening. Steakhouses are everywhere in Dallas, and many deliver far better service, atmosphere, and value. I strongly do not recommend The Old Warsaw to anyone – save your time and money for somewhere that actually cares about guests.

A very classy spot with a good fixed menu option. I thought the crab cake was very salty. The other seafood was excellent. Steaks cooked to perfection. The dessert was not good. I tried the apple pie and the peach cobbler. Both lacked flavor and the ice-cream had freezer burn. I think that was the first time in my life I haven't finished a dessert.

Made a reservation for our anniversary dinner. As we arrived the manager asked me to remove my hat. I’m aware of the “no hat” rule but this was not a ball cap. I was wearing boots, jeans and a felt cowboy hat. Last I checked we are in Texas. I completely understand if it were a ball cap but a cowboy hat? No. We just left. Went to the Y.O. Ranch Steakhouse in downtown and the service was way better. We actually felt welcomed.

Very well-priced for a steakhouse, good food and great live music/atmosphere. Escargot, filet mignon, and chocolate soufflé were the best
