The Original Pancake House

Nice breakfast place. Eggs & bacon cooked perfectly but the sausage gravy was a bit watery(packaged probably). Great service with a friendly smile.
We had brunch there today 9-22; at noon. I ordered the sausage gravy & biscuits and we also shared some delicious strawberry crepes!

We were very disappointed with our experience. While the food was absolutely amazing and our server did a fantastic job, unfortunately, we won’t be returning.
The atmosphere felt unwelcoming—not because of the staff (they were great), but because of the manager or owner who was present during our visit, which was either last Saturday or Sunday during a late lunch. He was an older gentleman who seemed to be speaking to the staff in a harsh and controlling manner, saying things like “I’m in charge, so what I say goes.” It made both me and my partner very uncomfortable to witness how the team was being treated.
To make matters worse, he seemed to be glaring at us and watching us in a way that felt unsettling. It definitely affected the overall vibe of the experience.
It’s a shame, because the food was genuinely delicious—the sandwich we ordered was excellent, and the pancakes had a unique, homemade taste that we really enjoyed. We truly wish the environment matched the quality of the meal and the service.
We won’t be back, but we hope others have a better experience if they decide to give it a try.

If you love pumpkin spice seasoning, I recommend the Pumpkin Spice Crepes. Simply amazing. The omelet was wonderful also

Hands down the best breakfast place in Dallas that hash and eggs with a side of the softest fluffiest pancakes I have ever had . And prices were very decent.

We love eating breakfast here! I have yet to find a breakfast and coffee as good as the OPH in Dallas. I probably visit this location at least 3 times a week.

Maria was amazing! We had a large group and she did such a good job or remembering everything and making us all feel welcome.
